Born in Frankfurt am Main, maxim_jl found his footing on the dance floors of institutions such as Robert Johnson, Cocoon and Tanzhaus West, absorbing house and techno from an early age. Now Berlin-based, he threads that formative schooling into sets that glide from disco-fueled grooves to the punchy momentum of modern house, always tuned to the pulse of the floor. His mission is timeless: create spaces where strangers trade smiles, sweat and new stories, giving back to the culture that has shaped him.

As a multi-instrumentalist, performer, DJ, and producer, He has forged a unique path for himself, layering sounds from his background in piano & saxophone, his childhood in the Middle East, and a newfound love for electronic music, to create completely original sets 100% live and on the spot.
Since he started releasing music in 2020, ITAI has released multiple EP’s and collaborations on leading labels such as: Buddha Bar, Camel Riders, Talavera Record, LHNDIKN and more. His debut album (A Trip To Idyllwild) quickly climbed to the #1 spot on the Beatport charts. ITAI is currently completing his 2nd album, to be announced in early spring of 2023.
In 2018 ITAI founded a series of gatherings simply called “ITAI & Friends”. With the vision of curating an intimate setting to experiment and explore, these gatherings became a space for incredible talents to express their art in a conscious and loving environment, and are now spreading worldwide. He is also the founder of “Curiosity Bears”, a community built on intention, consent, and connection; a place where music is celebrated, and play is the real work. He is passionate about cultivating spaces where his love for music and connection both have room to evolve.

Go with the flow... and listen to your gut feeling while doing so! Dolph pays heed to this wisdom, both in life and in music.
His productions reveal an original sound that’s unique to him - one that stems from many influences, and yet doesn’t follow any of its rules - only his gut. His production career has roots in Hip Hop and Electronica - but his passion for melancholia of all kinds has driven him to produce music that reflects his musical evolution over time. With a knack for twisting rhythms and sound structures around one another, he shows a noticeable disregard towards style conventions - choosing to craft his own personal taste in beats that are gradually becoming more linear. An irresistible catchiness pulsates amongst rich bass lines and distinct melodies, intertwining energetic grooves with percussions in soundscapes that are electronic yet experimental, subtle and slow. No matter the tempo he’s moving in, it’s easy to recognize his music, which usually oscillates between a playful happy vibe and dreamy melancholia.
His productions have been released on labels such as Akumandra, Amselcom and the label that supported him from the very beginning -  Acker Records.
