I might have thought the clicking was part of the music, but this is sounding good.  Do you do any kind of mastering?  The only thing is I have to crank the volume up twice as loud as most tracks.

If your intent was to make it feel like I'm being beamed up into an alien spaceship, you nailed it!

Wow, talk about a serendipitous collaboration! I met Lucas at a local hangout during the last of the Quinn's experimental night series. Had a fascinating discussion about music and checked his blog next day. I found his unaccompanied track and instantly loved it - soulful, plaintive, an extraordinary "musical apology" that expressed far more than words could say. I hope this interpretation provides a fully layered listening experience without losing the moving essence of the original, which is available here:

“I'm growing more and more fond of imperfection. This isn't some knuckle dragging reaction against technology, but rather I just find the humanity of error engaging - and the accidents it causes often more interesting than perfection.
Maybe it's because of this, that I'm repeatedly drawn to earlier electronica, where imperfections were an unavoidable by-product of playing, bodging and stitching-together electronic compositions using tape loops and delays.
This is why this track - and in fact the entirety of the new album it features on "Walk-in Diorama" sounds as it does. It was all played by hand, with no sequencing, click-tracks or time fixes. Just played and combined using 4 stereo tracks.
People have mentioned it reminds them of Cluster or Harmonia. I did not set out to do this, but it seems, this way of working results not only in a feel, but also in a style, a time or even in a place. I find that interesting in itself." /Giles

Times change, ideas change, and so does the music. To make pleasing enjoyable music was the original idea, now the music has become the expression of thought, the expression of emotion. Painting sound-scapes with music is the ultimate goal. To bring the listeners on journeys of discovery, imagination, fear and sorrow. Take what you can from each song, but mostly, enjoy the ride, and have fun with it.
