Ahhh, MOST satisfying! I enjoyed your write-up for this piece. I agree 100% with that philosophy. I was going to say I'm getting a Frippertronics feel (which I loved), but I think that compliment would actually do an injustice to your effort. “I'm growing more and more fond of imperfection. This isn't some knuckle dragging reaction against technology, but rather I just find the humanity of error engaging - and the accidents it causes often more interesting than perfection.
Maybe it's because of this, that I'm repeatedly drawn to earlier electronica, where imperfections were an unavoidable by-product of playing, bodging and stitching-together electronic compositions using tape loops and delays.
This is why this track - and in fact the entirety of the new album it features on "Walk-in Diorama" sounds as it does. It was all played by hand, with no sequencing, click-tracks or time fixes. Just played and combined using 4 stereo tracks.
People have mentioned it reminds them of Cluster or Harmonia. I did not set out to do this, but it seems, this way of working results not only in a feel, but also in a style, a time or even in a place. I find that interesting in itself." /Giles

Placement make a form of locational music they call ''Landscape Music".&#13;
&#13;
The pair typically combine found sounds, field recordings and an array of instruments both electronic and otherwise, with tape effects, prepared systems and improvised playing. Their albums are largely themed geographically to evoke a particular area or feature and the tracks themselves can vary from large scale impressionistic pieces to more focused and intimate studies.&#13;
