Fifty years ago, I quit my band in Maine to go to graduate school on the west coast. I have often wondered where my music might have taken me, especially during those anxious waking moments in the early morning haze. 

This CD is full of lyrics and music I wrote over the years and recording them has allowed me to rediscover these songs that might have been. My lyrics, like all poetry, are fundamentally personal, but they also evoke the emotions we all feel as we struggle to make sense of our mistakes, raise independent children, and live lives that matter. 

Also included are two of my favorite tunes by songwriter C.K. Wood (Island & Up The Coast To LA) and a medley of two traditional train songs that started it all for me, way back then. I managed to keep my music alive by playing these songs for friends and family…and now for you.
