Record label META MOTO co-founder, DJ, and producer EGZOTIKKA [ @egzotikka ] . The artist was born in Lithuania and is currently living and running his record label and radio show (via START FM) in London, UK. 

Within the years devoted to music, artists released 12 tracks in compilations, delivering intensively dark electronic sound. 
EGZOTIKKA has been immersed in the music scene and niche subcultures since his young years. Studying music and playing in post-punk and jazz bands, he has developed a unique musical sound. 

EGZOTIKKA is currently recording his solo album - enchanting through the analog synth-driven beats, bass guitar, and gritty vocal. Together, the music in the album is somewhere between cold wave and confessional storytelling with a voice rising from the depths of the earth.

The desert was vast, it stretched out before them as far as the eye could see. In the distance there was but a faint line which separated the dust from the sky. That was where they were headed...

Through the night they would travel, beneath the cloak of darkness. It was cooler then and they might slip by undetected.

Strange forces watched over this place, something in the great beyond kept a careful look out.

It was that which they must escape.

Oceanic appears alongside a cast of wicked producers on the final release from BAKK. A compilation which features the likes of Legowelt, Aurora Halal, Don't DJ and more plays out the label in style. This track showcases Oceanic's unique and pensive approach to sound design.

Hague-based techno and experimental electronics label @bakk-projects cap off an 11-year run with 'xoxo', a triple LP swan song compilation featuring Legowelt, Aurora Halal, SFC Acid, and Haron, among others. The release spans sprawling dub techno, ambient house, and slow burn electronica.

Plafond continues, taking center stage after the mother label BAKK ceded. Here, two long-time collaborators, Ekolali, originating from Sweden, and Tala Drum Corps, from the Netherlands, await their returns. The former reappears with a characteristic approach earlier heard on 'Doggerland'. The latter did multiple dance releases yet now debuts for this series, expanding on his stylistic spectrum. 

Despite shared tempo, the energies of the track are each of their own. Pulsating with energetic urgency, Ekolali, towards hypnotic movement, Tala Drum Corps. 'Totem Mollusca' shoots for the sun, like a budding landscape, yellow rays, waterdrops – kraut-inspired yet club-like without seeking a climax. 'tokyo subway' has a marimba-ridden, timeless feel – a clock-ticking, crude atmosphere, as a dream long passed, slowly ascending. 

Known for its two-sided, two-songs format, Plafond offers two artists or artist combinations the freeform room for exploration and elongation of their respective sound and practices. This is the eighth in the series.

In honor of the late great Mika Vanio, I present this recording I made of the show they played at Coney Island High on St Marks Place on October 30th 1998. It was incredibly intense, late in the set Alan vega jumps on stage and freaks on the mic like only he could. He was so amped he tripped over a cord and unplugged all of the gear in one fell swoop!! ( that's what the drop in music is)

Recorded on the legendary Sony MZ-R30 Mini-Disc Recorder using a sweet Sony condenser mic ( can't remember the model). It all sounds great and the MD and mic handle the heavy parts beautifully!

Transferred to CD using a direct to disc Harmon Kardon CDR 2 recorder into a Carver CT Seven Pre Amp using Sonic Holography circuit to beef up the soundstage

This weeks edition is mixed by META MOTO. The Lithuanian label has brought out some heavy cassette work and this mix features a lot of their artists.

EGZOTIKKA is well known as the co-founder and owner of the tape and digital label called META MOTO (@metamoto). London based music producer and DJ finds inspiration in cold wave and post punk, which is then turned into creating tracks using only analog gear combining it with vocals and sounds of bass guitar. The result is a fascinating confrontation of lo-fi EBM and slow punkish sounds. 
At the moment Egzotikka is actively engaged in playing in a free jazz/power electronics project called LOMK (@lloomkk) as a bass guitar player and releasing his tracks on various labels.
