'Headbutt 'is a four track release from a longtime @eventhestrong supporter and talented percussive club music producer – @sstrickk.

The release is OG hard drum – setting up hypnotic, rolling grooves through shifting drum patterns, expressing all melody via tonal percussion and crushed samples, and saturating the shit out of everything for maximum dancefloor impact.

It also perfectly encapsulates Strick’s mission as an artist – to supply raw body music for the dancers, in a way that doesn’t get caught up in any self-seriousness. Propulsive and twisted club communications, pared back to their most essential message of liberated movement.

Le Frit - Pixel Soup [traverse]

One year after the release of René Danger's Gwerz Boy, we are back with two remixes of the cathartic Gwerz that concluded the album : Enez Eusa.
Inspired by the chiptune arpeggios of René's arrangement, half-Brazilian half-Brezhoneg producer @lefrit envisioned it underlined by a Dembow beat, and came up with two very different variations of this same idea.
The Minidance remix takes the downtempo approach, with a minimalist but groovy beat and a digital voice emerging to harmonize the Gwerz melody. The LSDJ Turbo Megamix is a chaotic Yoshi-led remix alternating between reggeaton rhythms and fast-paced bass beats, ready to hit the dancefloors !

In our first dance floor concentrated release for a while, we welcome Leda Stray & High Class Filter who have been pushing boundaries within the UK funky and leftfield bass scene. Both top producers in their own right and together we see a hyper-focused 3-track EP that gets straight to the point.

The title track, 'Venga', features Nané who has also shared her talents with Mina & Roska. Discordant pads, rib-shaking sub-bass, and massive tribal drums lend the energy to her vocal prowess. 'Bengal' drops into a quiet before the storm with an onslaught of percussion and your daily dose of steel drums. 'Sphinx' rounds the EP out with a nice blend of jungle-era pads and effects interspersed with thick square waves and pan flutes.

Following the curation of the expansive compilation 'Athens UHD', Trial & Error founder Bonebrokk is back with the frenetic 5-tracker 'Howl'.

Including a Mosca remix, [TNE004] 'Howl' is a potent return which introduces Bonebrokk's brand new 'ExoPunk' sound.
Equally raw and meticulously crafted, 'Howl' is a polydimensional world of profound directness expressed through unrestrained sound design, turbulent beats and cathartic hooks.

Track 1 - Exo's immersive dubbed-out grime introduces us to the Howl world, while Forsaken blends out there breaks with blurred voices and weighty subs.
Io Chant is a social prayer of another civilization built on blocks of percussion and the title track Howl takes the role of total catharsis through stepping rhythms and a creature's howl sound.
Mosca's Exo Shaolin Version finishes off the EP in perfect deconstruction fashion.

''Howl is a reaction, an act of liberation from reality, from the constant advertisements, from entrepreneurs, from my fascist country, from capitalism.
It's a world I created to heal myself, to escape and to lose myself into a sonic bath. Devaluation and 15 second memories rule this age and i need more, i want things to matter.''
