Bio

Rui Bonito started his journey through music in his early teenage years, studying Drums and musical theory.
Several genres were addressed since then, from Jazz to the realms of experimentation and underground genres.
Later he studied audiovisuals and worked has a sound engineer for TV broadcast and then recording and producing bands and making live sound engineering.
On Electronic and Electroacoustic music he found the creative freedom and experimental approach that led him to expand himself to composition and release his first album.
Currently composing music mainly with modular synthesizers, field recordings, tape machines, pedals and glitchy equipment, as well as his own voice among other instruments.

Hi there. I'm Jonas Ruchenhever. Between 2005 and 2013 I created audio collages, soundscapes, radio art, ambient, noise and drone music. Each composition is based on the transformation of the various textile patterns or weaves into musical language. The methodology of mapping is concluded in PhD thesis at Durham University.  Textile patterns reflects distinct motions and atmosphere due its different structure and description. Indian ragas serves for the structure of harmony in order to construct a close relationship between sounds and textile patterns. Every Indian ragas has its own time, duration, specific mode of pitches as the textile patterns, which reflect various cultures and weaving methods.

Seuil Optique, duo of Sig Valax and Nicolas Tourney, originally dedicated themselves to musical practice in complete darkness, where each sound was generated without any visual aid. This method allowed the duo to develop an acute sensitivity to the acoustic properties of their instruments and the surrounding space. Seuil Optique is interested in the physical properties of sound, intuitively manipulates machines, and creates immersive sound environments. The two musicians invite the audience to active listening and total immersion. Their philosophy is based on the idea that music is not just to be heard, but to be experienced as a complete sensory experience.
Seuil Optique builds frescoes where electronic impulses, slow gestures and acoustic responses intersect: each of their albums, tells the story of an eyeless camera, of a journey beyond the screen. An ephemeral present filled with the memory of this interior film that everyone projects on their eyelids in the evening.
