Need Some More Feat Fubu Q

Solid Grooves reveals the fourth instalment of its 'Raw Grooves' series as Carloh, CHKLTE and Shokë return alongside a wealth of new names including Francis De Simone and Inavo.

Launched as a home for impactful club-focused productions, Solid Grooves' sister imprint Solid Grooves Raw has released some of the collective's biggest go-to anthems of late, with artists such as Josh Butler, Ramin Rezaie, Beltran, JUST2 and Antss dropping heat on the label.

Usually an annual fixture in the calendar, 2022 becomes the first year to see two VA offerings on the imprint as the UK favourites return with the fourth volume of 'Raw Grooves', locked and loaded with both returning and fresh talent. Stepping things up again, the fourth in the series sees returning trio Carloh, CHKLTE, and Shokë drop fresh material while unveiling impressive label debuts from emerging names in Elijah Wolfe, Francis De Simone, Inavo, Kidoo, Havoc & Lawn and Dot N Life.

4 project files, 100+ exports, and thousands of tweaks later, I think I've finally created the ultimate remake of this song. Will probably continue to add minor tweaks here and there as I find more details, but this is assembled from every source I could find, mainly the Boiler Room set and @chloerobinsondj's BBC Essential Mix. Very happy with how it turned out, hope it suffices till the real thing drops :)

Download link above contains two versions of the remake: the Boiler Room version (this track) and the "Release" version, which appears to be the official track and doesn't contain the Stormzy sample - it has been played in various other sets. If you want to use this remake for your mixes, I recommend using this second version. I also extended the intro and outro to make it more DJ-friendly.

Solid Grooves welcomes back Romanian DJ/producer JUST2 as he returns with 'Multicore'.

Whether he's delivering the goods solo or alongside regular collaborator and close friend Luca M, it's now pretty clear that DJ/producer JUST2 and Solid Grooves' sister imprint Solid Grooves Raw may be a match made in heaven for those looking for stripped-back, no-nonsense cuts. Stepping out on the label for the first time this year, mid-March sees the Romanian talent return with fresh material for 2023 as he serves up the slinking, crisp grooves of new single, 'Multicore'.

In typical style and signature form, 'Multicore' is another production built for dark, intimate spaces with heavy lowend sound systems as punchy kicks and warping bassline patterns work beneath evolving vocals for a track set to make dancefloors move.

Dennis Quin makes his Solid Grooves Raw debut with the release of his new single, 'Lucky Bastard'.

Continuing his rise as an exciting artist within the Netherlands' rich and fruitful house landscape, Amsterdam's Dennis Quin is blossoming as a name to know, with his take on the genre landing across a wealth of labels, from Dungeon Meat to Madhouse. After recently launching his label DQ Music with the release of a special record, 'The Gryphon', the Dutch talent makes his first outing on Solid Grooves Raw as he drops his shuffling production, 'Lucky Bastard'.

Fusing tight kicks and skippy drums loaded with swing beneath a warping lead melody and subtle vocal murmurs, the bubbling track quickly builds into a cut loaded with energy and groove, making it a perfect match for the
imprint.

Taylor Pierce makes his RDA/world debut with the infectious bopper "Need Some More" featuring Fubu Q.

"Need Some More" comes out the gate with a strong nod-factor. Punchy, crystalline drums are decorated with hi-fi bloopy fragments. The bedazzled musical bed is then further enhanced with groove-heavy vocals from Fubu Q, who's weaving cadences compliment Taylor's modest yet masterful arrangement.

A pairing embedded within the UK house landscape for over a decade, Gruuv bosses Audiojack have continued to show exactly why they're such a much-loved act with a continual flow of big records across the genre's diverse spectrum. Still exploring new pockets and pushing their ever evolving sound, mid-June brings a debut outing on Solid Grooves Raw as they unveil their latest single, 'Hypnotised'.

A track merging elements from house through to garage-leaning territories, the low-end heavy 'Hypnotised' pairs vibrant female vocals with skippy percussion, icy hats and a rumbling groove for an impactful and driving cut.
