With previous releases on some of techno&#8217;s most revered imprints including SCI + TEC, INTEC DIGITAL, Saved Records and Terminal M as well as their own Amazing Records label, it is no surprise that Milanese pair Minicoolboyz have delivered a consummate and slick debut on MOOD Records. Set for release on October 21st the two track &#8216;Dark Passage EP&#8217; is a hypnotic journey through underground sounds. The EP kicks off with title track &#8216;Dark Passage&#8217; which is a typically driving affair, packed full of industrial sounds and metallic tones until an extended breakdown relieves the pressure.On the flip side &#8216;Mr Proud&#8217; is another no frills peak time techno cut characterised by its shuddering bass and surging percussion which builds and builds until a well-executed breakdown, upon which it descends back into it&#8217;s propulsive groove.Overall then Minicoolboyz have delivered an expertly crafted EP which is another devastating techno release for the purists from MOOD Records.

It was back in 2012 that we saw Canadian duo The Junkies really explode onto the world music scene. Somewhat of a national secret, the pair had been educating the techno massive of their homeland for over ten years. It was their productions that really brought them to the global stage and their early and heavily supported releases for the likes of Waveform, Rawthentic and SCI+TEC allowed The Junkies to spread their sound far and wide. 

Fresh from the success of their latest for Carl Cox&#8217;s Intec imprint the boys make a much welcomed return to MOOD for the first time since last years collab with Carlo Lio, the Icon EP. Today they fly solo on their Dance For Me EP and deliver two of their finest tracks to date. 

Dance For Me is a deep and tempered number from the duo. Moody, groovy and refined, its bubbling bassline and &#8216;Dance For Me&#8217; vocal are intoxicating and impossible to ignore. On the flip is the tightly wound, tense and aptly aggressive Angst, with its industrial edge and thumping kick.

Foremost international techno outlet Drumcode is delighted to announce the release of its next full-length album, ‘Satellite’, by enduring Italian techno talent Sam Paganini.

Though he has been active since the mid nineties, recent years have been hugely successful for Sam, with searing techno EPs coming on revered labels such as Riche Hawtin’s Plus8, Sven Vath’s Cocoon and of course, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. In his time he has been responsible for underground hits like ‘Zoe’, ‘Polyester’ and ‘Fire In My Arms’, all of which demonstrate his dynamic understanding of sexy, dark and hypnotic techno grooves and at the same time have earned him plenty of great Beatport chart positions as well as respect from the best in the game.

Incredibly, ‘Satellite’ is Sam’s first full-length album. Informed by his DJ gigs at legendary places like Berghain in Berlin and Cielo in New York, the album starts with a dystopian bit of sonic scene setting, as if a space ship is charging up ready to take off.

From there it’s a case of getting straight down to business. ‘Another Chance’ is a spacey bit of cantering techno and ‘White’ is rooted in devastating kick drums and is riddled with serrated synth lines that build lots of great techno pressure. ‘Down’ is an undulating bit of funky techno complete with choice vocal flourishes and tracks like ‘Lotus’ are prime offerings from the deeper end of the scale.

No two tracks sound the same on Satellite: Sam is always teasing out a new bit of texture, nailing a slightly different vibe or exploring different amounts of light and dark throughout the course of this most excellent album. This is evidenced by diverse cuts like ‘Dusty’, ‘Toxic’ and ‘Rave’.

Despite ‘Satellite’ being Sam’s debut album, it showcases his seductive style in all its glory across 12 fantastic tracks that will leave you begging for more.

Since the early years of our Label Tigerskin has been one of our most prominent artists. An integral part of Dirt Crew, he has over 15 releases on the label, either as solo artist or in collaboration with Till von Sein. He has put out some of his best tracks on the label, as well as his debut album „All Those Goodbyes“ two years ago.

With his new EP „Alex Krüger“ shows his many talents in dance music and proves he is not a man of musical boundaries, it ranges from Deep and Tech House through to Techno, with influences from all over.

On the vinyl, ‘Faint feat. Grambow’ is a bright and soulful dance floor gem, the melodic Detroit style house track is ripe with tuned percussion, electrifying drum motifs and a live key jam from feature artist Grambow. The A2, ‘Stay’, is a subtle, classy, vocal deep house cut perfect for the early morning. The flip holds ‘Descent’, which resides in more spacious territory, steady and deep with acid and techno undertones, and our very special vinyl only bonus track, Tigerskin’s biggest hit, ‘This Place Is Empty Without You’. This masterpiece was originally released back in 2012 as a digital offering, but we’ve had so many requests from fans over the years to press it on vinyl that we could not say no!

On the digital release we have two extra gems, ‘Hippies’, heralding a propelling cinematic lead, supported by a huge bottom end for the dance floor, and ‘I Miss Chris’, a high energy tech house bomb meets classic piano house jam, this track brings the heat in a big way.

Fresh from his epic and celebratory ‘Focus On’ album, Daniel Dexter returns to Poker Flat with a bang. This release pulls together some blistering remixes of tracks that originally appeared on 'Focus On' - supplied by some of the hottest producers from the underground.

First up is Uner, the young Spaniard whose work on labels such as Cadenza has been turning heads of late. His remix of Dexter’s 'Why So Serious' is a bomb – driving Tech House with a big room feel that will be flipping dancefloors upside down for the rest of the summer.

David Keno also works some magic on 'Storm' – another stand out track from Dexter’s long player. Keno’s elegant touch with melody and rhythmic complexity takes 'Storm' in a new direction - resulting in a piece of music that works equally as a floor burner as it does in a listening context.

Kollektiv Turmstrasse have been building a unstoppable juggernaut of buzz over the past few years, and with their Blindbird remix of 'Birds', it’s easy to see why. The German duo pull out this devious slice of deep Electro/Techno that is as assured as it is weird - a true must have for the heads.

The legend that is Ian Pooley doesn’t disappoint with his version of 'Night Away feat. Geraldine Roth', taking the original and twisting it to his own brand of taut, focussed tech-house.

All four remixes are available via the 12inch from Poker Flat. Digital customers can also pick up the originals of each cut, split over two parts.
