Rums & Bumbletons is the studio playground where curiosity rules and rules are optional. Conceived as a collaborative sandbox, the project is dedicated to exploration: improvisation, found-sound collage, spontaneous composition, and joyful mischief. The aesthetic favors surprise — strange textures, abrupt shifts, grooves that wobble into new forms, and moments of decided weirdness that cohere into something oddly beautiful.

The music moves across genres like a traveler with no passport: fragments of psych, post-rock, lo-fi pop, experimental electronica, and free-form jam gleam in unexpected places. Tracks might begin as a simple guitar loop and end as a multi-layered sound sculpture built from field recordings, vocal snippets, and modular synth burbles. I have been experimenting with sounds since I was really young , when I was about 6 or 7 years old, after lots of pleading, from me, I managed to get my hands on a very old reel to reel tape machine, that everyone thought I was too young to have, and I discovered and loved recording. 
I played guitar and wrote songs in a indie punky band ,toured, made albums and worked in Studios. Now I work from my home studio in SW Germany,  using synths, groove boxes, guitars and vocals to produce electronic music. I also produce images through photography and  make ceramic sculpture.

All tracks  are recorded in a spontaneous manner typically in a single take. Most lyrics are also spontaneous improvisations derived from the feelings of the moment. We let the guitar and drums interact and the music just happens. Most if not all of the music is inspired from this interaction.

The recording equipment up until January 2019 consisted of a dated Fostex 8 track and a few microphones...We simply lay down a guitar and drum track and let it unfold the way you are hearing it by bouncing tracks. We just have to make music to live. Music of any kind, music that speaks for itself... 

In January 2019 recording equipment was upgraded to Logic X and a UA Apollo MKll Quad Core Recording interface...We entered a new building and still trying to find the light switch so bare with us as we keep lighting matches...
