RUNE148: Komainu — Zeppelin EP — a brand-new emphatic release of the Manchester-based duo on RUNE Recordings.

We're excited to be back with a series of releases from the label's resident artists, starting with a mighty Komainu. Their last two EPs uncompromisingly conquered the Beatport breaks charts, so our team is determined to have a strong re-start of the label, after a four-month break since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine.

Zeppelin EP as an inflammatory melting point of nuskool & progressive breaks, best represents the sound of Komainu and RUNE Recordings as a whole. Four tracks of the release are dedicated to the mechanized character of Manchester and symbolize the technical progress depicted within the music. We are confident that there is no other style to showcase this other than breaks.

I'm just a huge fan of my music which consists of whole lotta breaks, dark/goa trance, progressive breaks/trance, psy-whatever!, old skool, nu-skool ...if it has a funk element, you hooked me. But don't go soft on me, I like to listen to shit that makes me want to break!. Whether I drop to floor or not is a different matter, but I love the feeling our music makes us feel anytime of the day. I tend to take my beats while working, or with my favorites, with a side of epic mountain biking or running. These activities allow me to really get into what I'm listening. Quite honestly, it's meditative.
Though not a DJ by practice, I am one at heart, and have been since the 80s when the DJ/Hip-Hop egg was hatching and have thoroughly enjoyed the evolution of DJing and electro music to it's present day mastery.
