Butch’s newest offering ‘Retechno 2’ is a bass-heavy, dark, two track techno delight. The kick drums are intense, the samples interesting and the synths apparent – Butch’s quirky style of production can be heard throughout. Magnetic, holding a futurist edge with it’s spaceship sounds, cuts a deep groove with eager crescendos and heavy drops. Antimatter is packed with energy, a driving bass line and fierce drops. Butch’s productions are raw, powerful and robust - a release not for the faint hearted.

Ramiro Lopez links with Andres Campo to supply the latest release on his ODD Recordings with 'Pachamama', a rhythm assault utilizing blinding sirens and hypnotic tension. With support from the likes of Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Pan-Pot, Amelie Lens, Charlotte De Witte and Alan Fitzpatrick the track's been getting regular play at festivals and clubs around the world. Now 'Pachamama is finally ready to be unleashed to the public. 

The two producers touch on the vision and inspiration behind the collaboration: “Pachamama emerged in a very natural way, two friends and colleagues decide to get together in the studio and create something after an intense day of laughter, friends, food and hangover. The name is linked to what happened that day. It’s our first official sound adventure together and we’re super happy wih the result and with all the support it’s received so far.”

Look for 'Pachamama', which is also paired with 'Poolside', to be released August 25.

Drumcode returns with its 6th installment of the internationally celebrated A-Sides series. Renowned for fostering a shared space between industry tastemakers and rising talent alike, the careful curation that goes into each volume is a fine example of why Beyer’s brand continues to go from strength to strength.

Techno titan Adam Beyer has grown Drumcode into a force to be reckoned with; the label has become synonymous with forward-thinking, functional techno and even after 20 years, Drumcode continues to find new boundaries to push, and ways to solidify its legacy as the world’s number one techno label. 

2017 is no exception, with Beyer’s imprint hosting it’s first stage at Tomorrowland, not to mention the expansion of the critically acclaimed Junction 2 where the Drumcode stage is the centrepiece and Adam plays the key role of festival director. The Drumcode phenomenon continues to grow each week, chiefly fuelled by Drumcode Radio, Adam’s radio show that’s broadcast in 57 countries via 86 stations and to a global audience of 16 million techno fans per week. 

The A-Sides series acts as a perfect vignette of Drumcode’s cutting-edge sound; functional yet inspired techno, all tracks tried and tested by Beyer himself. Vol. 6 continues this tradition with a collection of 16 multi-faceted cuts from a mixture of both emerging artists and experienced label friends. 

The heart-throbbing bass in Amelie Lens’ electrifying piece ‘In Silence’ sets the tone for the dark and dance-floor-ready energy that Vol.6 carries the whole way through. Other standouts include Mars Bill’s rough’n’ready ‘Mohave’. Pulsating and precise, ‘Mohave’ has highlighted many of Beyer’s sets recently as has Wehbba’s monster track ‘Fake’, which fans have been anticipating the release of all year. 

Label-favourites Dense & Pika also feature on ‘A-Sides’ Vol. 6 with their hard-hitting ‘Just a Beat’ and a huge track from Beyer himself who has joined forces with Enrico Sangiuliano to bring us their undeniably infectious ‘Preset Heaven’. 

With many more notable selections from the likes of Julian Jewell, Timmo, Tiger Stripes and Pig&Dan, A-Sides Vol. 6 is another impressive addition to the label’s prolific release roster and a testament to why Drumcode remains at the forefront of the electronic world.

Title track PHANTOM is characterized by its pause and impact reset, ambient synth and unmistakable 909
groove. The energetic INVICTUS follows, powered by its frantic synth and thumping kick. 
DYSTURBIA is a perfect union of psychedelic vocal and cavenous floor wrecking techno. Whilst closing track
CODEX, with its impetuous chord, treats us to some 90’s inspired rawness.

Drumcode favourite Harvey McKay returns to the label with a darker new sound.

The Glaswegian has been a regular contributor over the years, highlighted by the memorable ‘The Illusion of Control’ EP in 2014 and his newer work with brother Ryan under the Alias moniker. Earlier this year Drumcode released the duo’s ‘Pentatonic’ EP and featured a mix on Adam Beyer’s radio, which included ‘Black Dolphin’, kickstarting the hype on the track.

Named after the infamous Russian prison, the title track is dark, tough, deeply textured brooding affair, with a menacing touch than runs through its core. McKay then brings in a huge synth line and changes up the dynamic of the track, giving it a powerful and driving feel. ‘Retox’ is a dark and twisted heavy-hitting cut, driven by aggressive drums and bassline, while a hypnotic synth line sustains a sense of tension throughout the six-minute track. Concluding the package is ‘Cover Up’, a fantastic stripped back exploration into dark atmospheric techno territory that’s tailor made for the winter warehouse raving season.

Feels incredible to be releasing my Debut Album, it's been such a long process and such a long challenge it kind of felt like this day would never come, but it did.

Conceptually the album is about romanticizing a naive world view. That naiveness and ignorance is something to be cherished. There's something really beautiful about the perfect worldview you have as a kid, that the world is harmless, beautiful and good. The more you learn and experience though the more you realise everything isn't perfect. So the less you know the more beautiful it is, it's the things we haven't done, the places we don't know, that have this unquestionable beauty to it. it's this world i'm trying to mirror with my album, the one that stays in your imagination.

Musically i knew i wanted to do a sonic representation of the concept, blending worldly sounds with small bedroom type samples and soundscapes. I really loved the idea of those two polarizing things being the two main factors that would lay the ground for the album.

The tireless and titanic dance figure that is DJ T. is next up on Seth Troxler’s essential Play It Say It label.

DJ T. has done it all in his long and storied career, from setting up one of the most influential labels in Get Physical to founding Groove Magazine via opening the Monza Club and, of course, serving up always inventive EPs and LPs on the best labels of the day. His sound has evolved through many house, disco and tech styles and has kept him an in-demand DJ for more than 25 years. These new missives are yet more proof that few know how to work the floor as well as DJ T..

The perfectly menacing ‘Keep It Close’ kicks things off with a dark, snaking bassline underpinning freaky synth stabs. The pressure builds throughout and will have the crowd locked in before it pulls back and builds again with a masterful grasp of mood.

Hitting much harder is the excellent ‘The Day It All Started’, a more physical house track with solid kicks is designed for maximum impact in the club. Tumbling bass and gurgling synth riffs flesh this one out and ensure it is a real piece of dynamite.

Last of all is the retro-tinged ‘1988’, with its tightly programmed drums, slick claps and spraying acid line. It’s a wild track to get the freaks out of the shadows and on to the ‘floor.

This is a fresh EP that offers three very different but equally effective club tracks that are sure to blow up in the coming months.

Dublin-Manchester-NYC’S finest Krystal Klear (Cold Tonic, All City, Tooth Pick) has been honing his skills as a dress man for years and also made a name for himself as an expert in all things (electronic) boogie. „The Division“ is his dapper debut EP for Running Back. Custom-made club studies shifting between sound factories, hot haciendas, heavenly lagoons and chrome-plated dance floors: fast, slow, hard and soft.
A love letter to dance music written with pink ink. Oh, and there is „Neutron Dance“ on it as well…yes, the euphoric fun one. once again: dance!"

For the next release on the TochnoTechno imprint, label founder Yulia Niko delivers a compilation EP, enlisting a talented cast of producers to join her with new material, including Oleg Mass, Tripmastaz and Koett.

Niko delivers two tracks to the release, one of which is a collaboration with Berlin-based Ukrainian producer Oleg Mass. Together they showcase a deep and acidic sound profile with 'Roadway', a mesmerizing techno cut aimed directly at the dancefloor.

Look for 'TT006' to be released March 23.
