After their debut release in September 2020, Tunesday Recordings are back with their second installment, marking the reissue of two boogie funk originals from 1984 by the German band Trust. Particularly known for their song "It's Not Over", the band also recorded two wonderfully brazilian- influenced songs dubbed "Eu Melembro" and "Maracatu" which were also released on their LP "Bow Making". Moving between Funk, Boogie, Jazz and Latin, the two songs remain a trademark for the band's versatile orientation at that time. Perfectly suited for the task, Joutro Mundo, who is known for releases on Hello Sailor & Barefoot Beats among others, took on the originals to cut down his very own interpretations with modern dancefloors in mind. Many thanks to Trust for making this reissue possible and many thanks to Dayeon Auh for putting the vibe into the artwork.

After their acclaimed disco edits EP, Mister T. Records partnered up with Joutro Mundo, one of Rio’s hottest producers, to deliver a funky selection of Brazilian cuts reworked for dancefloors.
Less than a year after the release of their first EP with brilliant Parisian editor Chevals, Mister T. records are back with a new 12” EP showcasing Brazilian edits by Joutro Mundo, one of Rio’s hottest producers.
Famous for revisiting Brazilian hidden jewels, Joutro Mundo has become a reference in the electronic music scene of Rio. He has recorded several reworks on his own label, Outra, and released EPs on Mareh Music and Midnight Riot.
He’s now joining Mister T. Records with a 3-track EP demonstrating his ability to deal with all the facets of Brazilian music. With “Jangada”, he managed to shape a great party track full of Boogie rhythms - and its furious percussions - reinforced with funky guitar riffs and sharp synths, while in “Inferno”, he kept the melancholic atmosphere from the original record. Finally, “Melo Do Camelô” is certainly the EP's most dancefloor-oriented track with its thumping tropical groove and the artist's trademark hypnotic acid touch.
This record perfectly reflects Joutro’s digging / producing skills and the EP’s summery vibes will delight Brazilian music lovers and DJs!

Dance for Relief is a way to use our music to help raise funds for causes that we are passionate about. The third and final release in the series is a compilation of edits, remixes and secret weapons from various friends, with Volume 3 focusing on boogie and disco influenced sounds from around the world.

As before all proceeds raised from this release will go straight to Direct Relief (directrelief.org), a charity whose mission is to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies, and who are doing great work to ensure that protective gear and critical care medications get to as many health workers as possible. Their work continues to be particularly important in the midst of the current Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

Finally, we'd like to say a huge thank you to all the artists involved who have given their skills and time during a difficult period to help make this release happen, in support of a worthy cause.
