'Three Voices' is the first vinyl release from Lebanese electronic artist Jawad Nawfal aka MUNMA. The album is marked by several vocal collaborations, a departure in style for this pioneer of Beirut's electronic scene of the 2000's. The album is produced and released by Lebanese alternative label Ruptured, in June 2016.

Al Mothlath - Dead Traveler

The 86 and 88 Veseli Romi album are to my knowledge, some of the earliest Romani Synth album. It blends Synth and Drum machine sounds with Derbuka, clarinet, electric guitare and bass. It has though a very unique sound. 
     In most of the track, they most probably played the Casio CZ 101, used by many Balkan early Synth player, before the making of oriental Synth (Korg, Ketron...), i guess because of the wheel which enable the "vocal effect" and approach of the quarter tone and obviously the small size to carry it anywhere and the cheap price.

On emploie parfois à tout-va l’expression “électron libre”. Mais pour lui il faut reconnaître qu’elle colle parfaitement au personnage. Même le mot électron, qui donne l’impression d’être de l’électronique à moitié ne pourrai pas mieux dire le caractère de sa musique au croisement des musiques traditionnelles et des expériences électroniques. À l’image de la liste de ses collaborations '(de Christophe à Bojan Z en passant par Kerry James, Jeanne Cherhal, Francesco Tristano ou Carl Craig), le nouveau disque du franco-libanais explore presque une nouvelle voie esthétique à chaque piste: inspiré par une retraite artistique dans les montagnes de Jaj, au Liban, On / Off est aussi et surtout un disque profondément émouvant. On est donc heureux et confiants à l’heure de filer les clés de la programmation pour une heure à Bachar Mar-Khalifé. On mise sur un grand shot de liberté(s).

Lebanese indie label Ruptured was founded in 2008 by music promoter/radio producer Ziad Nawfal and sound engineer/producer Fadi Tabbal from Tunefork Studios, as an outlet for their activities as music producers and promoters in Beirut. 
Ruptured aims to release material by Lebanese and international artists, with a strong focus on alternative rock, electronic and experimental music.
