He is the owner of one of the best record stores (dare we say, in the world?) and his life is 100% dedicated to music - whatever genre or mood, Mika Snickars always delivers something extraordinary. For Stora Skuggan, Mika put together three hours of music collected from his travels in Asia. The vibe here is a compact funk odyssey consisting of performers who seem to give their all: either they are oozing of vaseline lens-seductiveness, or display that particular larger than life-attitude which is only to be found in the 1970- and 80’s music era. Coming through with a deep ride mix to start the year in the best way, we are glad to present the florentine Dj, Selector and @angismusic boss @samuelepagliai 🇮🇹
 
Active as a DJ since 2009, Samuele Pagliai boasts a ten-year experience as resident of the Florentine party @lattexplus where he plays alongside the best international artists. A devoted music digger, his appetite for new sounds has no bounds, and his taste constantly evolves. Deep house, soulful, dub, funk and techno are just a few of the genres you can hear during his sets. With this same approach, in 2017, he founded Angis Music, an independent record label dedicated to the publication of music produced by emerging and established artists from all over the world. In addition to overseeing the label’s A&R, he organizes events and exclusive listening sessions throughout Italy to create intimate spaces for the exchange of music and culture. Over the years, he has been invited to play some of the most prestigious clubs on the peninsula, such as Dude Club, Bunker, Link, Magick Bar, and Vicious, while at the same time building his experience abroad by playing in Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Spain and Germany. Moreover, he has participated in radio shows such as Hessle Audio on Rinse FM, State Of Rhythm on Worldwide FM, NTS, and Universal Rhythms Radio, where he curates his own program and continues to gain recognition in the European scene.

NEW MIXX! And what a midtempo spectacle. 

Helsinki-based dj & producer DENZEL https://soundcloud.com/denzelmyman jumped in the HRD booth one Friday night, equipped with an FX unit and an inspired selection of heavy midtempo jams. 

Running underground clubs & festivals keeps the man busy, but he is a selector at heart – and you can hear that. The outcome here is trippy in the best possible way – bordering psychedelic at times. Effects are dubby, rhythms are chuggy and the tempos stay south of 110 throughout.

Indigo Aera took over the Rush Hour store with a stellar line-up! For the occasion of their latest release by Private Press, the label presented none other than ROD, Private Press (Live), and the label's Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff.

This is an explosive set, presented by a total don. Dutch techno and over all DJ boss ROD took over with two amazing full record bags as his ammunition ('I like to have choice'). His first time ever on a rotary mixer, with Drexciya's Harnessed The Storm in sight throughout his set.

This is the ninth recording in a series of (themed) Rush Hour in-store broadcasts, recorded on June 14th, 2018. After a live broadcast to Facebook, the music lands on Soundcloud for playback.
