In our lives, we are granted the opportunity to witness the departure of our loved ones. Some depart through doors, never to return, yet still exist somewhere. Others leave suddenly, unexpectedly. Yet some depart when we are somewhat prepared, for their age predisposes them to it. However, there are also departures more challenging... when we observe the tree of the mind of a beloved, from which memories' leaves fall, and even the freshest, youngest cannot hold on to it. We cannot help, we can only watch how they fall...

Composing this little piece was very personal. It was combined with the realization of a fact from my immediate surroundings. I left all imperfections of my playing because of how I felt at that moment. It wasn't an improvisation, it was an interpretation of a theme that I've developed few minutes earlier. One of the true pleasures of living in a northern country is the occasional feeling of the warmth of the winter sun on your face. There's a word for this --apricity. A brief burst of apricity warms both the body and the spirit.

From my new EP: Songs The Night Bird Taught Me, which was inspired by the bittersweet, solitary sound-world of the nocturnal. I hope to take the listener on a journey through starlit waking dreams, inside the liminal world that hums between moonset and sunrise.

"Faded Memories" is a piano track that tells the story of a person who, over time, retains only the positive memories of a carefree youth. The piece opens with a sweet and nostalgic melody played in a high register, evoking faded images of happy, distant moments. The light and airy tones recall days of youth, full of laughter and freedom.
The middle section introduces soft arpeggios and warm harmonies, creating an atmosphere of intimacy and reflection. Here, the music explores the deeper and more affectionate details of the memories, capturing the essence of past experiences and the emotional connections that shaped the protagonist's life. The notes follow one another like fragments of memories, each with a special meaning and unique emotional nuance.
Towards the end, the piece reprises the initial theme but with greater depth and harmonic richness, symbolizing how memories, even if faded, retain an intact beauty and purity. The track concludes with a delicate and soothing coda, leaving a feeling of peace and gratitude for the past.

Here there is the occasional song produced in Live using Push and a variety of loops and instruments, mainly guitar based but anything goes, I like lots of different musical styles.

I like to seek out and listen to mainly original tracks rather than covers, finding it interesting what people in different parts of the world are up too, there is a lot of good stuff out there, some of it weird and wonderful or often both ;-)

I am not a musician but music plays a very important role in my creative life! I am an artist/designer and music is my companion and my muse in the long hours I spend working in my studio! 
I am immensely impressed and grateful for all the talented and inspiring musicians whose work graces this Cloud, and I will always re-post sounds that I love (and will listen to again) - knowing that others will enjoy them!
I feel slightly embarrassed and quite humbled when I receive such graceful messages of thanks from artists whose work I have re-posted - after-all, I am the one who is so inspired by the discovery of your brilliant music!!!
