We needed one, we have one. Jess Hatton-Brown is the indie electro-folk-queen-of-the-funerals that we were longing to die with. She writes, composes and sings using the contrast of her deep & high voice as an exploratory instrument. Her melancholy is anchored in Devon, this seaside town from South West England where she was occupying the position of official mermaid. Her latest production “Beginning of time” is a rebirth tinted with a hint of California feeling. Listening to this 40 minutes acts like a catharsis to purge you from all your pain, all at once. Jess currently lives in Nantes, France, where she performs in local venues around town with her guitar and voice.
