Avoidant drops Part II of the Distortion Strategy series, focusing on some of the best up and coming Electro producers from across the globe currently making waves in the scene. Each artist brings their unique take on the genre from classic upfront, club focused tracks to the more thought provoking.

Previous collaborator, Confluence, opens with ‘Wrong Clocks’, a twisted and brooding affair - the young producers adept sound design shines through. Blast Attack quickens the pace sharply with the sci-fi inspired ‘Singularity’, as it’s mind melting synth hooks and FX twist and turn at every corner. Maltese Sound Synthesis drops the UK Bass influenced ‘Auditory Space’. A proper squelchy yet emotive track, its searing pads glisten atop radiating percussive synths. Continuing on the emotive tip, New Delhi based Zequenx’s ‘Impozter Alert’ creates a contemplative atmosphere through precision programming as she makes each element in the track flow perfectly into another. USA artist Terrestrial Access Network’s deep and absorbing ‘Stress’ closes out the VA and crisp 808 beats lay the foundations to an ethereal soundscape of lush pads and buzzing bass.

Vronsky’s 5th episode – “The Ship And The AI” – is a collection of 4 sample based deep Techno tracks blending his favorite long time influences: hypnotic loops, dystopian tones and old school bleeps.
Continuing his previous work - “[LB009] I’m not done yet” - which was reflective of the worst moments of the pandemic. This episode, made this time in 2022, tends to be a bit more aggressive.
It is reflecting somewhat in the mind of the artist, the rising tensions that can be felt in Europe with the many global conflicts that filled the news this year, and the increasingly present global warming effects.

Nerve Collect co-founder Gamma Intel follows up label partner Identified Patient's inaugural release with his thrilling E.M. EP. Across six club-ready cuts, the Dutchman explores the spaces where bass, techno, electro and acid all intersect. E.M. is available in digital and physical 12'' format.

On the A side 'Little Mirror Man' opens up with an elastic but thumping broken beat. A flurry of jungle drums rain down next to scratched metal stabs, bleep-techno melodies and all underpinned with heavy bass rumbles. 'Save Pair of Hands' doesn't let up, with knick-snapping hits and earth-shattering bass weight. As heavy as the groove might be, there is still plenty of room for deft synth designs to bring plenty of emotion. On '5AM-SBM' you are tugged in many directions at once - nimble drums dart about beneath prickly percussion and flaming hits that have a mind of their own. Although the low end is distorted, the details up top are well-defined and given plenty of space to make their mark.

The flipside takes off on turbocharged techno-electro fusion 'Sleep and Cry.' It's a devastating and visceral drum track that also packs an emotional punch as celestial chords suspend you at the doors of heaven. 'Panthera Leo' soundtracks the end of the world as acid lashes about amidst controlled but unrelenting drum chaos and finally, the drilling bass and frantic drum programming of 'Trust' is another all-powerful club track. Its dark energy sucks you in for a white-knuckle ride to remember.

This EP finds Gamma Intel pulling off plenty of unusual tricks and twists on his way to conquering the dance floor.
