Aficionados of all things troublesome, distressed and emotional, Love Cult are coming back with an ode to their homeland. Northern Technology. Dark Electronica. Obsessive Techno. Militant House. Noise Pop.

Love Cult have recorded in a real studio for the first time, and thankfully, escaped the cleanness or overproduction whatsoever. These swampy tracks bear the weight of every single thing produced by the duo before: murky, decayed, out there. However, there’s far less stretching things out. Is this dance music? Well, if “club” means a place for lost souls and thump stands for menace, then yes.

The duo’s interest is de-composing the human voice shines on Wonderland EP. Disregarding every possible parameter and value in recorded voice, the remnants of Anya’s vocal lines hang in the air like heavy smoke rings. At points, microscopic samples scrape the sound as if threatening to knife the listener. Sub-heavy beats thunder relentlessly behind raw and naked clockwork programming. Every fraction of sound re-amped through empty corridors, metal tubes and prime analogue equipment, only to be re-sculpted further.

Have you ever found yourself throwing stones while in glass buildings? Dance like there’s no tomorrow, they cry in yr pillow. But remember: if a place seems scary, there’s something to learn there.

"LHF's members include Amen Ra, Double Helix, No Fixed Abode, Low Density Matter, Octaviour, Escobar Seasons, Solar Man, and Lumin Project. Their debut album 'Keepers of the Light' was an expansive collection of tracks drawing on various strains of music that evolved out of the British rave movement - jungle, 2-step, and grime included, but with a particular interest in dubstep. Their second album, 'For The Thrown' is an extension of these ideas, but it takes more of a step into the unknown. Take Amen Ra and Octaviour's new track (and album opener) Gateway for example: you can hear familiar snatches of sounds and rhythms from the UK underground, but the approach is more abstracted, turning it into a haunting, meditative, ambient piece of music."

Mr Beatnick is a scholar and a gentleman - a bona fide expert in everything soulful and strange, from jungle to Sun Ra, broken beat to retro drum machines, a very fine DJ indeed, and a general man about London town. In addition, since he turned his hand to four-to-the-floor beats with the majestic "Synthetes" in 2011, he's slyly become one of the best synthetic disco producers in the world. This one had us smiling and swaying in the office on first play, and will sound like pure gold in a party situation.

Cissi Moon changed my life! It was in a now refurbished part of Stockholm in a futuristic cafe/club called Holger that i had my first encounter with loudly played club music. The night was called dB and we lined up with our fake IDs every Saturday to hear Cissi Moon spin Drum & Bass records and let the bass engulf our beings.

At the time the art of making electronic music was totally alien to me, I could not for the life of me work out how to ever make music that carried the same emotional and physical impact as I felt on that dance floor .
I have spent the last 17 years or so trying to get back to that state of being at one and completely lost with the music. 

This record concludes a trilogy of EPs by Peder Mannerfelt on his eponymously named label. What comes next is everything and beyond.
