i trapped lil shine in this angelic prism

i found time,
it was sitting by the river,
waiting for you and me
under the tree.
we dont lie
we just dont deliver
we’re exceptionally flakey human beings

you’re just not the same,
anymore.
we’re just not the same,
as before. 
he fell in love
with a coke sniffin girl,
i fell in love with our
tiny little world.

if you loved me
you would’ve
seen that i wasnt good enough.
i couldnt even tell you why
i felt so much towards you!
and it seems like a recurring theme.
me not being able to speak what i think,
i kissed a girl in my front seat
but i couldnt explain 
what i liked about her,
and it haunts me today
i couldve told her eyes,
or her genuine honesty
or that my heart felt real nice
everytime she talked to me.
instead i broke someones heart
and i chased someone else
and i have little to none
respect for myself.

and it bleeds.
my shirt bleeds.
i wore it so much
my shirt bleeds.

in my dreams i fly
i fly really high
my finger scrapes the sky
and i peel off the blue
but the blue isnt enough
i want grey skies and clear sun
conflicted interests
make my brain run
and she runs
she runs fast
i think she wants to go.
