Damien Lapéna aka Elyas is a respected DJ and producer from Marseille with over 30 vinyl releases under different guises. His latest moniker was born in 2013 on none other than Developer's Modularz and Olympian and since then he also includes Slam's Soma, Ben Sims' Symbolism and Detroit's Blank Code in his artist catalogue. He lists gigs for Berlin's Tresor and Berghain, London's Corsica, Madrid's Cassette Club and in New York. EPM Podcast 160 comes from US DJ/producer Mike Derer. Mike has been at the forefront of the United States techno scene since the late 1990s, initially influenced by Chicago House, he later developed his passion for techno. Developing his own identity and sound of deep, hypnotic techno that is groovy, stripped down and yet effective he then started the label Northern Parallels in 2018. Taking on younger and upcoming producers in addition with inviting legendary producers such as DJ Hyperactive & Dustin Zahn, Northern Parallels focuses on deeper, tripped out, hypnotic techno meant for the dance floor which is exactly Mike’s approach here as he mixes up the likes of Marco Carola, Packard, Rene Wise, Mattias Fridell & Alexander Johansson, Amorphic, Killa Bite, Donato Dozzy, Adam Beyer, Woody McBride and more.
