I worked on ramble some more - and I quite like how it sounds sounds now compared to before. It's not finished yet - so please let me know your critiques

(I cut out the 2nd half of the 2nd verse because I havent completely worked out how it should sound yet)

Staring out the window, and heading
Absolutely nowhere.
I’m sure it’s fine to dawdle. 

It seems the midnight fever has got a 
Viciously sweet demeanor.
Bartender, blur me out on dreams.

I like to think I’ve got a place
To run to.
Despite the pace that I’m falling past 
You at, right now.

I’m tumbling over my own 
Feet, at terminal velocity.
It’s lovely how the city slee-
-ps when I can’t catch a wink:

(Hey), why do these streetlights mimic
Your eyes, so well 

And why do these late nights
Make me ramble like hell.

The hands on the clock are ajar - and everything
Is as it shouldn’t be.
Is this really my reality?

I’m falling free through a 
Thick sea of irony
And it’s terrifying.

I’m barreling through my dreams at a
Breakneck speed.
I rather hate how my mood 
Swings when you’re around me.

(Hey), I just need more late nights, dancing un-
-der lead lights to forget what we’ve been through.

But somehow forgetting doesn’t seem like
The right thing to do.

I can’t laugh about it yet:
I guess the joke’s gone way over my head.

Hey - 
Sometimes I wish I’d lie in place of sly tries to
Dance around the truth: as much for myself, as for you.

You’re crashing into my real-
-ity at light-speed.
While you’re at it - take me far from this
Galaxy - I wanna see

(How) far I can go back - knowing a handful
Of my faults, and failures -

And maybe in my dreams - I’ll get to 
See that happy ending.
