Father Ocean" is the fulfillment of a musical promise to humbly thank and honor the powerful and cathartic depths of the sea. A tale of a man in need of guidance who is called into the water and gets caught in a magnificent oceanic storm. Rain starts to pour down, washing away his penumbra by bringing discernment about what is not Love. Meanwhile, the waves hit him fiercely like the primal confrontation with his own shadow, making up the perfect scenario for him to amusingly research the depths of his core.

By embracing his shadows and feeling the power of gravity on his shoulders, he understands he has been carrying the weight of his unconscious limiting beliefs. As they are brought to the light of awareness, they lose strength over him. This realization is so cathartic that the storm suddenly ceases, and the sun starts to shine again. As it always does... But this time it reminds him that, sometimes, Love shines brightest in the dark.

So, he found his way back to the land. As he steps again on firm soil, he looks back at the ocean and bows in gratitude and reverence for having found the guidance he so much needed within himself. He then makes a promise and leaves, knowing the path he is to take.

When listening to Ezio Aguiar's sets, regardless of tempo or genre, one notices a particular mysticism mixed with different organic, melodic and progressive elements.

He would call himself a believer in the healing and connecting power of music and dance. And if you have ever caught him dancing with his eyes closed behind the decks, then you probably understand why. Enjoy our latest deep story with Ezio Aguiar.

Manchester (UK) based Mazayr has always felt a deep connection to music. Experimenting with electronic music for well over a decade, his passion for creativity stems from much earlier as a keen drummer in his youth. This love for rhythm naturally translated to dance music and birthed a tireless focus on finding his own sound as a music producer. Mazayr’s sound has arrived at a blend of emotional, uplifting and melancholic melodies, intertwined with punchy, solid grooves. Influences come from an eclectic mix of genres and as an artist his tracks are built to stand the test of time. His style has earned him debuts on labels such as The Purr, Cigarette Music and Canopy Sounds, with more exciting projects already in the pipeline. As a DJ, Mazayr has frequented various venues across Manchester, including Pangaea Festival and the infamous Sankeys nightclub. In 2019, he began hosting events and a mix series under the Right Frequency banner to showcase melodic house music.

"Imagine if you will a place where all that should be really is... The living embodiment of a consciousness lift."

The closing of Mensch Meier in December 2023 was a symbolic happening in the Berliner scene. With its inclusive mindset, it was one of Berlin's most renowned clubs. This is why its re-opening by the owners as Abstrakt represented a huge victory for the scene and city itself. A celebration I've had the privillege to be part of by playing a dj set from on saturday night / sunday morning from 2:00 to 4:00.

This set was truly one for the books, and I very much enjoyed playing a bit faster and stronger than my usual sound. Keeping the flow throughout the set was pretty challenging for me though, as I mostly played spontaneously and I often simply didn't know what to play next. But, in the end, this only added to how special that night turned out to be. The renovated Lichtung (formerly known as Räuberhöhle) is terrific! I didn't know they had rebuilt the floor for the opening, and when I saw it my excitement went through the roof <3

 This time, I've managed to record the crowd as well, so you can hopefully feel what I am talking about. Happy listening (:

There are still a few places on this planet which almost nobody has seen yet or which are even completely unspoilt by civilization. These remote areas often harbor extremely rare species of animals and plants and tickle the fantasy of some writers.
One of these places is the Roraima Tepui, a table mountain with an elevation of 2810 meter, which is located on the frontier of 3 countries : Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana.
The first man to climb this mountain was a British explorer in the year 1884. Before that day, nobody had dared to venture into the area out of superstition. Back then, it was rumored that some extinct species of animals actually still lived on this table mountain. Although such a sensational discovery didn’t happen, it must have been an overwhelming feeling to be the very first human being to venture into this hidden world. Every step a new adventure, every exploration without road signs, admiring all these wonders of nature without capturing it with a selfie-stick.
Of course the discovery of this unique world did not stay a secret for long. The news of this breathtaking expedition spread quickly and the author of Sherlock Holmes even brought dinosaurs to the Roraima Tepui, at least in his novel ‘The Lost World’.
We still have one compelling question about this place : which noises are there to be heard in this remote spot? To answer that question, we think that nobody on this planet is better placed than Vemativ and in this deep story you’ll have the unique opportunity to discover the sound of this unspoilt part of our planet…

ARTEMIDES is the new Duo-Project of worldwide touring producer and live act SETH SCHWARZ and his wife LYDGEN, who is a trained violinist and talented singer. Their story began when their eyes met - playing music together in a university orchestra when a timeless soul connection was re-established.
While the sound foundation is set by the deep & wide melodic electronic groove and the passionate violin play of SETH, LYDGEN fulfills the soundscapes by adding on epic melodies and sweet improvisations with her angelic voice.
Being on stage together is a manifestation of their dream, resembling the pure love for each other expressed through their music - ARTEMIDES is a truly unique live act - enriching the sophisticated electronic music scene.

Since the magical 1980s, the species known as Raver focused on creating the perfect dance move to express on this dance floor of life. Around the same time, Madmotormiquel — a young boy from the limited-travel zone of West Berlin — decided he wanted to find a sound that knew no limits to their dedication. Oh shit, another DJ is born. Armed with an expanding taste in classic punk rock and hip-hop, soon he was led into the world of powerful beats that the future-forming kids around him loved so much. He met them in the church of acid techno, big-beat, and drum and bass. In these places, he jockeyed the discs for many weekends until it was clear he needed to have a say on the beats himself. Here, under the light of a crescent moon, a new producer was born. By now, the Berlin Wall was well and truly down, and you could even buy small pieces of it from the shop. This meant his home city was filled with more space than the ravers knew how to sing and dance about. With that, they squatted its old factories and made techno rituals in the neighboring fields. There, they danced and played and danced and played until one day someone said, "Hey, vie not bring all ze ideas of all ze different people together and start something that will blow everyone avay, Ja?" This was when the Bachstelzen came alive and when the name Madmotormiquel became synonymous with everything the Berlin house music parade has been known for since. With a continuous stream of releases spreading to all corners of the planet, he often gets the chance to make up for his past's limited travel. Now, he spends his weekends playing his music in exotic locations with nice people, enabling us to perfect the art of shape-making one dance floor at a time.
