Hailing from the picturesque town of Nimes in southern France, Loris Ponderant, better known as Rebel of Sleep. His trademark blend of techno’s atmospheres with organic drums and bright, heady melodies has seen his productions released on major labels such as Immersed, PRGRSSN and Elliptical Sun, and has also been supported by Lane 8, Sultan + Shepard, Mees Salome and Nora En Pure amongst others.

Now based in Montreal, balancing both his life as a musician and a computer science student, Loris himself has opened for artists such as Le Youth, Sultan + Shepard, ALPHA 9 and Kasablanca on their Canadian tours and having played at some of Montreal’s biggest venues, such as Newspeak and New City Gaz, Rebel of Sleep is definitely an artist not to be slept on.
