Our inner space has been the only place left to us to wander lately. This mix is a kind of a soundtrack to this journey. It would not happen without my wife Marketa, who has been a constant source of inspiration and of a great many tracks, Georgi, who sorted out the sound, and Maja, who agreed to record the intro. Our last broadcast of 2022. We were already feeling a bit of the pre-Christmas madness, but in the studio, it came off. There were some really great tracks that will definitely make it to the shortlist for the Best Of 2022, which you can look forward to in the next show.

2022/12/11 Breakbeat Conference // winter tales

Our Olivia's birth code is > 12022021 (it's both an ambigram and a palindrome). We don't know why she chose that date, but maybe she'll tell us one day. We prepared for her arrival by dancing - how else. Just a bit, so that she did not end up arriving in our kitchen. Markéta selected the tracks, I mixed them on the first take, and the next day we went to the maternity hospital. There has been three of us for over a year now… and we keep on dancing. Naše Olívie má v narození kód > 12022021 (je to ambigram i palindrom), nevíme, proč si tohle datum vybrala, ale třeba nám to jednou řekne. Na její příchod jsme se připravovali, jak jinak, než tancem. Decentním, abychom příchod nespustili už doma v kuchyni. Markéta vybrala tracky, já je na první dobrou namixoval a druhý den jsme jeli do porodnice. Teď už jsme přes rok tři… a tančíme dál. On this Sunday's show, the temperatures outside stayed below zero and the studio was warmed by the melodies that the new tracks are full of. Once again we played the great Spanish producer Enzo Leep, who is coming to Prague in March for the live edition of the Breakbeat Conference. And our friends from Rune Recordings have two more great releases. But one track is really special, Future Funk Squad said goodbye to his own work under the alias FFS with the track The Same Program. It's a testament and a great example of what modern Nuskool breaks can sound like.
The first guest this year is the excellent Prague DJ and promoter Lucas Hulan. He's been playing since 1996 and his love of minimal can be heard in his breaks selection. In the studio he played a mix of his current favourite tracks and in the interview he revealed that we should also see his own productions this year. Have a nice listen!

"Interceptor" did have a limited vinyl release on Disuye Records (pressed about 1500 copies in 2002) and there was a short period where MP3s were available on the old website. It's one of the most requested tracks I get asked for, so here you go.
