Dhul Hijjah Has Come

- The importance of recognising what will lead us to salvation.
- Splitting into groups and parties is to oppose the uṣūl of the dīn. 
- How the Prophet ﷺ described the divergent paths, and the path he commanded to follow. 
- Narrations where the Prophet ﷺ clarified that there are misguided groups. 
- The phenomenon today that people claim the straight path is not known from the deviant paths. 
- Allāh’s threat to those who oppose the straight path. 
- The false claims/ideas for unity by the people of misguidance, and that which truly unites the ummah. 
- The singular, unchanging ‘Aqidah and Manhaj of Ahlus-Sunnah throughout the ages.
- Imām Baghawī (d.516) and Ibn Kathīr (d. 774) on the statement of Allāh, “This is My Straight Path…”
- The firm rebuke of the Messenger ﷺ of the divergent paths and how the deviant groups disparage the Salafīs for saying the same.

- The virtue of knowledge.
- Ibn Ḥajar al-‘Asqalānī (رحمه الله) on the double reward given to the people of knowledge.
- Following the example of the Companions in busying ourselves with studying the Dīn of Allāh and not being preoccupied with the affairs of the dunyā.
- The diligence of Abū Hurayrah (رضى الله عنه) in seeking knowledge.
- Benefits from the narration regarding Yaḥyā b. Ya’mar and Ḥumayd b. ‘Abdur-Raḥmān al-Ḥimyarī’s (رحمهم الله) meeting with ‘Abdullāh b. ‘Umar (رضى الله عنه) to ask him about those who denied al-Qadar.
- The tradition of taking the opportunity of Ḥajj or ‘Umrah to study at the feet of the scholars. 
- The virtue of age and experience in the Dīn of Allāh.
- The staunch stance of ‘Abdullāh b. ‘Umar (رضى الله عنه) regarding those who violated the correct creed, despite how much they learned. 
- A person memorising or possessing knowledge does not necessitate that knowledge should be taken from him, and an example from Imām Aḥmad (رحمه الله) in this regard. 
- The acceptance of the narration of the trustworthy.
- Abū Hurayrah’s (رضى الله عنه) encouragement of the people to take from the inheritance left by the Messenger ﷺ.
