To recognise the excellence of Banu Haashim due to their kinship to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). To recognize the excellence of the Quraish , the Arabs and branches of the tribe and recognize their station and rights in Islam. 

The slave belonging to a people is one of them. To recognise the rights of the rest of the people of Islam. To recognise the excellence of the Ansaar and the advice the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gave regarding them and his family. Do not abuse them, but recognise their excellence. Recognise the excellence of the neighbours from the people of al-Madeenah.

[19/07/2024] Chapter: The Virtues of the Companions of the Messenger ﷺ [Part 24] – Explanation of Kitāb As-Sunnah from Sunan Ibn Mājah [Lesson 114] – By Abu Khadeejah ‘Abdul-Wāhid حفظه الله.

- The aspects of the religion in which Abū Bakr, ‘Umar, ‘Uthmān, ‘Alī, Ubayy b. Ka’b, Mu’ādh b. Jabal, Zayd b. Thābit and Abū ‘Ubaydah b. al-Jarrah (رضى الله عنهم أجمعين) were distinguished. 
- Understanding that a Companion being specified with a particular trait does not mean that that trait is not present in the rest of the Companions. 
- Chapter: The Virtues of Abū Dharr (رضى الله عنه)
- Ḥadīth #156.
- Proof for the truthfulness of Abū Dharr and that he was far removed from lying and at-Tawriyah. 
- The meaning of التورية (at-Tawriyah). 
- An example of Sufyān ath-Thawrī (رحمه الله) using tawriyah. 
- Ibn Taymiyyah (رحمه الله) on when it is acceptable to employ tawriyyah, and the reason he prohibited utilising it if there is no need. 
- Proof that there is some scope for using indirect speech in order to avoid lies (if there is a need).
- Caution regarding continuously using tawriyah. 


Questions:
1. What is advised for parents to do when they have a newborn? Is the taḥnīk and reciting the adhān in the ear from the Sunnah?
2. Should the father do anything specific in the delivery room?
3. For the one who is memorising Sūrah al-‘Alaq, if he is repeating the āyah of prostration many times, is it upon him to make sajdah every time?
4. What is your view regarding what some of the ‘ulamā say with respect to wearing garments and sports gear made by Nike?
5. Is it allowed for women to wear what is referred to as the tikka (the jewellery Indian and Pakistani women wear on the forehead)?

In this lesson ustadh covered "THE FOURTH PRINCIPLE– ‘ILM, ‘ULAMAA, FIQ AND FUQAHAA"

An explanation of [what is] ‘Ilm and [who are] the ‘Ulamaa, and [what is] Fiqh, and [who are] the Fuqahaa (jurists). And an explanation of the one who tries to resemble them but is not from them. And Allaah has explained this foundation at the beginning of Surah al-Baqarah in His saying:

“O Children of Israel. Remember my favour which I bestowed upon you, and fulfil my covenant and I will fulfil yours” [Surah al-Baqarah 2:40],

up until His saying, 

“O Children of Israel. Remember my favour which I bestowed upon you and how I favoured you over all the worlds” [Surah al-Baqarah 2:47].  

And what increases this in clarity is what has been explained by the Sunnah concerning this [with] abundant, clear and manifest speech [that is clear] for the common person.  


Then this affair became the strangest of things, and ‘Ilm and Fiqh were considered to be [religious] innovations and misguidance, and the best of what was with them was truth mixed with falsehood.   And the actual ‘Ilm that Allaah, the Most High, obligated upon His creation and which He praised, then no one spoke of it, except [that he was considered] a heretic or insane person. And as for the one who rejected [this ‘Ilm] and authored in warning against it, and prohibiting it, then he was considered to be the Faqeeh and ‘Aalim Lesson will be on every
