This song began as an acoustic guitar and vocals stem written and performed by Steve. He sent it to Josh, who added the undulating staccato bass line, with the help of Ken's always well-suited drums. They went back and forth a couple of times, as is their process, until it clicked. Tez added some really dynamic leads and fills throughout, and Stephen filled in the rest of the electric guitar in a Keith/Ronnie kind of way, which is very tasteful. JJ then added some perfectly complimentary organ. Finally, Ken pleasantly surprised us with the low vocal harmonies. 
Stephen also mixed and produced this one for us. He's brilliant behind the board, and we're lucky to have him aboard. This one came together in a matter of a relatively short period of a fortnight, which is rare for the Eclectic Collective. But, when something is hot and already put together, it comes quickly. We all hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed putting it together.

 I escaped the nightmare I made from the escape of living in another one in the home I called my hole where the monster brought me to see the demons where the ones with kind creeping teeth

Absorbing the world underground I found to escape the horror that crawled deep into my mind

As The drugs hit my mind like a apocalypse fucking me up like it's first time in love giving myself to a stranger hoping they will love me more than myself  

I crawl to the surface eating away 

Eating away at the barriers made to hold the memories I forgot without knowing I had even experienced the pain I felt by the search for myself  in a world full of so much death, fear, hate, hiding the truth, blending my truth to explore me and turn my illnesses against me. You always did I hate every word you spoke to me to this day I'm disgusted I was born into a life like this 

They misunderstand all I say

The doctors never heard all the hell I was hiding

Saliva is an American rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee on September 1996 and has recently signed to Rum Bum Records. Saliva released their self-titled debut album on August 26, 1997.

They were later signed their second record deal and went on to release their second studio album Every Six Seconds. Saliva later released their third studio album titled Back into Your System on November 12, 2002 which reached No. 19 on the Billboard 200. Back into Your System launched one of Saliva's most successful songs, "Always", reaching No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Modern Rock Chart. Three years after Survival of  the Sickest, Saliva released Blood Stained Love Story on January 23, 2007, repeating Back into Your System's chart performance at No. 19 on the Billboard 200. Its first single, "Ladies and Gentlemen", peaked at No. 2 on the Mainstream Rock Chart.

Saliva was originally founded in Memphis, Tennessee in September 1996. After competing in the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences Grammy Showcase competition, where they advanced to the final round in New York City, the group self-released their self-titled debut album which sold over 10,000 copies in their region, prompting record labels to take notice.

In early January 2012 it was announced that Bobby Amaru has joined Saliva as the new vocalist. According to Wayne, ”he is a 28 year old singer, songwriter, producer from Jacksonville, Florida who has a GREAT voice and will not only bring some fresh blood into the band but; will also put a new spin on the Saliva sound.” Amaru was the frontman of his solo band Amaru, as well as the drummer for Burn Season. On the 30th of November, it was anounced that the band had just signed a new record deal with Rum Bum Records & that after they have finished their current tour, the band will return home to finish writing the new album and begin recording in January for a release date some time in the spring.
