Sam is a filmmaker, senior freelance translator and media content developer. He was the programing manager and the first Arabic news presenter at 102.3 FM station in Windsor - Detroit between 2012 - 2014.  Sam founded Radio Betna in 2010 and is currently acting as its executive director.

القاعة الخضراء هو مشروع مدونة صوتية (بودكاست) يعمل على انتاج برامج صوتية عالية الجودة باللغة العربية  والانجليزية، ويضم عدة برامج صوتية مختلفة تناقش مواضيع اجتماعية وأدبية وفنية وموسيقية.
انطلق المشروع فى يونيو 2020 بمدينة الاسكندرية. واسسه محمود الصغير وسحر درغام وبسنت زهران، ويشمل اربعة برامج متنوعة:
-	قصص وحكايات شعبية – سحر درغام
-	حكاية مزيكا – محمود الصغير
-	فضفضة – بسنت زهران
-	قصص مترجمة (باللغة الانجليزية) – لورين ببريل

Green Room is an audio blog project (podcast) that works to produce high-quality audio programs in the Arabic & English languages, and includes several different audio programs that discuss social, artistic and musical topics.
The project was launched in June 2020 in Alexandria. It was founded by Mahmoud El-Saghir, Sahar Dorgham and Basant Zahran, and includes three different programs:
- Stories and folk tales  - Sahar Dorgham
-The story of music - Mahmoud El-Saghir
- Chitchat - Basant Zahran
- Stories in Translation – Lauren Pepperell
