Bristol-based producer fka @boursin joins the fold at NYC-based imprint @scissorandthread with a forthcoming 12" single named 'Listless Intertext', accompanied with an exquisite dub flex from label bosses Frank & Tony.

The original is a 12-minute drift through hazy deep house textures, half-caught conversations, dreamy synths and shuffling percussion. Instead of clear vocals, we get indecipherable fragments that lend the track a woozy, dream-state quality - like trying to decipher a distant conversation while slipping out of consciousness. It’s deep and loose, a slow-burner that feels just as suited to headphones as it does a smoky backroom.

Frank & Tony’s Housebeat Dub flips that energy on its head. The duo keep the mood intact but drive it forward with a fat, rolling groove tailor-made for those blurry hours on the dancefloor. Where boursin pulls you inward, Frank & Tony push it outward - a hypnotic, floor-ready workout that still carries the ghostly essence of the original. Together, they make Listless Intertext a release that blurs the line between introspection and propulsion, subtle listening and functional club heat.

La Colina was inspired by warm memories of southern France and Italy, landscapes on a human scale, where everything feels gentle and close. It evokes the simple act of wandering, watching insects crawl along a sunlit earth wall by an old road leading to a small hill. The piece shifts focus from the large and dramatic to the quiet and small. It’s a response to a broader cultural tendency, in electronic music, experimental work, and visual art—where emotion often needs to be intense, dark, or disruptive to be felt. La Colina moves in the opposite direction. It challenges the listener to engage with tenderness and vulnerability, to reconnect with a childlike way of seeing: curious, sensitive, and open. 

Yoann Pisterman is a French sound artist and composer based in Berlin. Originally trained in visual arts, his practice began with drawn landscapes blending architecture and vegetation. Sound emerged in response and gradually became the core of his work. He describes it as “painting with sound.” His compositions move between ambient, kraut, electroacoustic, and experimental forms; balancing softness with density, surface with depth. A kind of childlike topography for deep listeners: light yet intricate, subtly shifting perception and sculpting space. His second full-length is set to appear on Hologram Opera in October 2025.

He sat upon a little hill beside the bridge and looked out upon the river which passed down beneath. It was hard to see the ripples of the water but for the occasional flicker of the headlights which whizzed by up there on the overpass. Some people came out here from time to time to spot the northern lights but there wasn't much moving in the wayward sky this evening. 

There was a near silence in the air, the occasional scream of something wild in the woods in the distance would echo across the snow capped fields. 

He took a deep breath and watched as it filled the air with fog.

No Fight is an autumn song about letting go. About realizing that some things can’t be changed. It’s not about resistance, but quiet acceptance. Between melancholic melodies and cinematic depth, the track captures the calm after the storm, a moment of peace within the inevitable.

This may well be the last tune I ever post - as I'll probably get bumped for even attempting to edit such a stone-cold classic. Pure sacrilege, I know, but before you reach for that pitchfork, check it out - I've been kind to it, I swear. 

It's aligned to a tempo to make it easy for a budding DJ to play the flock out. And I've layered some tasteful grooves throughout and a sore-ass bass during the god-like epic moments. That way, if you haven't already melted from the pure gorgeousness of Minne Riperton's vocals, you may at least bask in its blistering sub-boominess.

Either way, if this doesn't move you (or your bowels), you are possibly dead inside and should seek advice at your local mortuary. Sorry.
