There's an immersive and psychedelic quality to Tagliabue's music. Whether it's his DJ sets or his own creations, the Milan-based sound engineer, DJ and producer puts emotion front and centre, drawing inspiration from his natural surroundings — in this case, his home of Italy.

As a leading figure in the alternative music scene in the country, his interests lie in musical research which helps him authentically craft secular-leaning sonics that honour tradition whilst looking firmly to the future. Blending elements of folk, ambient and trance through the use of experimental and contemporary electronic techniques, he blurs the boundaries of genre, which can be heard via releases for Blue Sea, Lustpoderosa and Cosmica Music.

Ahead of his debut album, as Joseph Tagliabue, and his first mini-album, he treats us to a mix of mystical, organic sounds, which features several of his own forthcoming productions. Turn off and tune in...

A new recording in the Phase Group Mix series coming to us from France thanks to the intriguing Erevan DJ. 

Erevan DJ heads up the excellent Bamboo Shows label out of Lyon and is behind some fascinating releases that delve into the realms of deep and psychedelic ambient music, trance reflections, fourth world tribal meditations and sci-fi dub dancefloor experiments. Make sure to check out the Bamboo Shows Tapes compilations and Jonquera's album on the imprint. 

For his Phase Group Mix he's provided us with a deep listening experience, inviting you into the sonic environments that inform his work with the label, beginning with serene and blissful ambient sounds, moving through spoken words layered with uncanny sound design,  industrial dub, mutant folk music, dark trance and IDM. Isla to Isla is a team of passionate music lovers and bunch of friends pushing the boundaries of clubbing culture. Since it’s start in 2017 Isla has proceeded a number of events (residencies at Lizdas club and Empty Brain Resort), art happenings and 2 small festivals. Now it’s even more scaled with a launch of label called Isla to Isla. For now, 2 tapes of Vladas Dieninis and Jūra Elena Šedytė have been released but the ambitions are on fire and there is a vivid aim to release much more quality music on different physical formats. For Electric Shapes Isla co-founders Hìldá & Patricia Kokett recorded an intense and colourfully dynamic mix, consisting of their  eclectic tastes and giving a glimpse into what’s happening during their b2b’s.
