Uncertainty, excitement, expectations and hope define pretty well what’s behind the launchment of a space mission. Everything has been calculated,  measured and prepared, but reality is always unpredictable, so results and success are never guaranteed. Experience and intuition may help in order to reach the desired planet’s orbit. Italian artist Alessandro Russo, known as Evod (@evodmusic), has used both to deliver Sonde Spaziali EP, the new release on Exoplanets’ 30D Sub label, a tribute to four different spatial projects that have taken place in the last decades from different parts of the world. 

Techno has been, almost since its inception, an excellent soundtrack for spatial exploration, as experimenting and having no boundaries in creation are key to start the trip. In Sonde Spaziali, Evod, fully aware of techno’s potential, recreates all the complex emotions kept into the challenge  of  reaching  space,  being able to bring us back to Earth to share and spread the discoveries, fully dance floor compatible. Serbian-born DJ/Producer Lag was globe trotting from Los Angeles to Berlin, with his last pre-Covid gig at Berghain a little over a year ago. Meanwhile in quarantine, apart from discovering his newfound talent in hand modeling (as he alleges), Lag contributes to the interconnectedness of our global techno community by hosting a weekly Twitch show on his channel, CommissarLag, where he gives feedback to producers on their submitted tracks. Lag has a versatile, wide ranging warehouse sound that we love. His latest release, “Katran” (“tar” in Serbian), is a hefty dance track with a no-BS breakbeat attitude, elements of grunge, and a dirty bassline. Heavy claps set with delay give this track a sweaty feel. This nine-minute journey is filled with head-banging, punk energy whose rebounds can barely be contained. Low-frequency sounds resembling motorcycle revs haunt the track with intense drive. 

Prior to the pandemic Lag was preparing for his third US tour. Missing his sets almost as much as his jokes, Dirty Epic looks forward to welcoming Lag back to the LA underground.

A:  " Two clubs share that title. The first one is Under Bron(@underbron) in Stockholm, where I hold my residency. Under Bron has given me a platform to push my boundaries and given me the experience of playing at all the different stages throughout a party. I have learnt so much there and am forever grateful for that. Secondly, the MESS (@messberlin)parties at OHM in Berlin. This party aligns so well with the concept of a perfect party; diverse selection of people, open mindedness, friendly and positive energy. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about how insane the parties will be once things open back up."

Aero hailing from Northside Dublin, Ireland is a fresh faced exciting DJ and producer. A seasoned DJ for a young age, Aero’s style moves from fast grooving techno, atmospheric dubs, pounding electro and anything else that catches the versatile producer and DJ’s eye.
Aero has been steadily grafting on the Dublin club scene for the last three years, solidifying his name with a residency with Human Error. Aero has an impressive catalogue of previous gigs with highlights, playing along side Shlomo, JKS & Mayeul, Cleric, Sunil Sharpe, B. Traits, Defekt and more as well as featuring at BD Festival, Life Festival and playing in Panic Room in Paris. Outside of the club Aero has been featured on International Public Radio, Dublin Digital Radio, Netil Radio, Out System Podcast and more showcasing his skills as a selector. 
In March Aero began his residency with 1020 Radio and embarked on a new venture with his show 'Alternating Vitality'. A show focused on energy and atmosphere opposed to genre. Conveying different sounds each month and giving a platform for artists Aero loves to guest on his Bristol based show.
In recent times Aero has been releasing on labels Fever Recordings, Not At Sine, Yin Yang, Kriminal Records and has an EP with Italian label World Nima Records landing in the spring as well as another EP, VA and a remix! Aero’s energy from the booth translating into his music has created a sound which he cherishes. High energy, loopy and atmospheric techno cuts. Receiving support from Jay Clarke, Dave The Drummer and The Brvtalist in recent times, there is no sign of Aero slowing down!
