I work as Head of Music and Worship at The Belfrey, a large church in York. 

I started saxophone when I was 9 and guitar when I was 15. 

I'm using soundcloud to share the ideas between friends. Recently in a small experimental trio of Sax, Keys and Drums with 2 of my best friends.

Hourglass Sounds is a musical partnership between composers Sam Johnson and Sam Rankin, specialising in composition and sound design for moving image projects. With years’ experience in the music industry, Sam and Sam have composed and arranged music for prime time television, theatre and various media. 

 

The purpose of Hourglass Sounds is simple: to create inspiring, beautifully crafted music in service of the client. This means taking care to fully understand the client’s needs, and collaborating according to the highest standards of creativity, skill and professionalism.
