Hey music lovers & loyal listeners, like many others in the self-employed artist/music artist community, my have lost a great deal of work during the Covid pandemic. I have shared my work here for many years so please continue to enjoy dozens of my free to stream podcasts & remixes. About me:
Born in the Soviet Union, on the run, Sound Of Music style through Europe & eventually landing in her new home Australia, this Sydney DJ and producer is considered spinning royalty in her adopted country. Pioneering many club nights, she has worked every veritable corner of the scene — both above ground and below — to master a sound that is quintessentially Sveta.

The company this unique talent keeps is testament to her work and has seen her play along side the likes of Derrick Carter, The Presets, Frankie Knuckles, Honey Dijon, Andy Butler, Kim Ann Foxman, Kylie Minogue, Seth Troxler, Miss Kittin, Big Freedia, Scissor Sisters, Boy George, David Morales, Deep Dish, John Digweed, Victor Calderone & K-Hand to name a few. Regularly on demand, Sveta continues to work the stage with both legendary and emerging DJs who share her passion for breaking new ground.

On tour Sveta has supported artists including Peaches, Amanda Palmer, The Julie Ruin, Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), spun the beats for Shunda K (Yo Majesty!) and collaborated with Emmy Award winning pianist & composer, Lance Horne on a live piano/house set at the Sydney Opera House & BAM Brooklyn. She’s also regularly curated as a DJ/ collaborator at arts events for the Museum Of Contemporary Art, Carriageworks, Vivid Live, Opera Australia, Sydney Theatre Company & the Sydney Opera House.

She pioneered dance music on community radio from 1990, taking it out of specialist night time programming & putting it on her breakfast show on 2SER-FM, a show she continued to host for 12 years, also hosting shows on FBI, Triple J & 2DAY-FM.

As a Music Director, this multi-faceted talent has carved out an additional niche by framing some of the country’s largest fashion events, including a decade of runway soundtracks at MBFWA as well as being their resident DJ. Runway soundtracks include Chanel, VOGUE, Collette Dinnigan (Paris Fashion Week), Zimmermann, Bec & Bridge, CAMEO, AJE, Steven Khalil (Paris Couture FW), as well as her 15yr collaboration as Music Director for top Australian haute couture designer Alex Perry. 

Sveta has also made her mark abroad in cities around the world, especially NYC, where she has toured extensively for 10 years & regularly plays in venues like Le Bain at The Standard Hotel & for the cities most underground and celebrated promoters and Club Kids (11:11/ LadyFag/ Susanne Bartsch/ Daniel Nardicio/ Vogue Balls)
 
Sveta is part of LAPLUSTRE - a performance & production collab with rock/electronic musician & DJ Estée Louder. They have remixed music for Qantas Airways, ACON, Betty Who & Indigenous superstar Jessica Mauboy & composed musical scores for RUSSH online, Oroton, Alex Perry, Indigenous Dance show NGOENAKAP & trailer music for Queer Screen. Laplustre produces original music primarily in the technosphere.

DJ Sveta is a truly multi-genre DJ. She intuitively reads her audience and plays accordingly, drawing from her enormous library of classic, current & emerging sounds, weaving her way seamlessly through the tracks. She crosses between disco, house, vogue beats to tribal, tech, techno and beyond. A 10,000+ vinyl collection spanning over 2 decades teamed with her passion for discovering new styles yields a unique freshness to Sveta’s sound. Her lifelong obsession with dance music gives her the unique ability to contextualise the music within her sets. Her flawless mixing skills assist her in taking the listener on a heartfelt journey, from a purist House or Techno set to a multi-genre party experience.

An eclectic collection of production and performance, Shirley House is anything but traditional.  Founded by Sam Brady (who is also the lead singer) and Gillian Sandman (DJ/producer), and including vocalists Ryan Allen Gray and Allicia Lawson; band members Luke Smith, Alex Beckmann, Eric Lane, and Justin Kimmel; and dancers Omari Mizrahi, N’tifafa Akoko Tete-Rosenthal, Monster LaBeija, Craig Washington, and Alora Tonielle, Shirley House combines large scale production (think Beyonce) with the earnestness of underground music and art (think Santigold). 

Shirley House is a sound and live experience you won't want to miss.

Outputmessage is Bernard Farley, an experience artist based in Washington, D.C. Through singing, dancing, music, DJing, photography, video, and lighting, he creates familiar, yet subversive, multi-faceted experiences that explore themes of queer and black identity. His recent works include the explosive protest techno song and video “Wake the Fuck up!”, the Black Techno Matters March to the White House, an 8 hour ambient set as Smoke & Tea, and the bewildering Weapons of Mass Distraction.

I am the drummer for a Washington, D.C. based alternative trio called GUTS. We are three passionate women who have just released our debut cd 'It Takes GUTS'. We have 7 songs on the cd so sit back and have a listen.
