Perched on a crossroads, Pin Up Club approaches electronic music with a magpie’s nature. A spread of styles has been picked, plucked and plundered to make ‘Friends Of The Vortex’. The title piece snaps with clean beats as Blade Runner bars build with an energy that can only be described as palpable. Latin percussion and samples get the groove going for ‘Children Of The Void’. Flirting, the tone twirls and turns. Keys are big and full bodied, balanced perfectly by the crack of a snare. ‘Out Of The Unknown’ closes. A slow burning piece brimming with brooding cinematic shapes and strings, a work that shows the colder edge of this dutch duo. Quality through and through.

One can choose how to perceive reality in these current days, living in the shadow of the covid-19.  
We believe reflection, contemplation, (some) stagnation and adaptation are our best ways to go through this situation.  Therefore, we have decided to move forward with our plan to release a little digital compilation to celebrate our 5th la- bel birthday. 5 tracks for 5 years.
To the task we have asked a couple of family members to contribute tracks as well as uncovered some secret ver- sions we've been playing out for quite some time now and felt it is the right time to release them. As you can guess from the tracklist, the compilation is diverse in styles and goes from drones slow trance to diy Post Punk to ambient.

Daniel Holt "Traveler" is the second release on Death Decay Magic records. This succinct 3 track EP + remix has a unique voice of darkwave beats and hypnotic, cosmic synths. It invokes Soviet era space program films and deep space nebulae.

Daniel Holt is a unique voice in the electronic music scene, with recent releases on L.I.E.S., Mechatronica, and The Black Lodge (LA). He also runs his own black metal and dungeon synth label Ardetha Records. It is an honor to have him join Death Decay Magic for this release.

@franz-scala of Slow Motion contributes with an excellent acido italo remix and @facets-music did an up-tempo version of the original.

Thick metal bars covered the window, limiting the light that entered the already dark room. What was visible was unfamiliar; the heavily padlocked door, the single chair in the corner.... He had no recollection of how he'd ended up here. Panic began to set in as he tried to retrace the last few hours in his mind, and he couldn't. It was completely blank. As he got to his feet and made for the door, a key began to turn in the padlock; he'd soon have his answer.

Following releases from Silicodisco and FLXXX, San Francisco's Roam Recordings welcome back Tronik Youth for a new EP titled Lost In The Media. The two originals are backed up by remixes from Disco Halal alumni Autarkic and shape shifting producer and Berceuse Heroique regular Black Merlin, who stretches the original in to a ten minute Industrial slow burner, that builds on a fuzzy synth line and robotic vocal samples that take cues from early New Beat.

Moreover we are excited to welcome one of our favorite producers recently, Eluize, for the remix of ‘Space Time Distortion’ where she creates no less that you would expect — deep spacious groovy trip with intense atmosphere.

One more remix is coming from label’s own Uninc & Kolomensky who transform ‘Aliens Eating People’ into electro-EBM-rave mixture.
