I've finally decided to release this set, which I performed at EFF 2024, almost a year late. Last year was a weird year for me, and at the time of this festival I was going through a particularly dark period. At the start of my set I struggled to relax and made some mistakes which took me a while to recover from before I managed to enjoy myself on stage. I'd put so much energy into preparing this set, when the moment came to perform it and then to make some mistakes was way more of a bummer then it should have been. Anyway. I had this copy I recorded of myself playing almost the exact same set I played at the festival in my practice recordings. I'm much happier with this version and think it's probably one of the better mixes I've made, which is annoyingly ironic. It wasn't doing much good sitting in my private folder, so now it's public for you to enjoy, or not.

NuroCosmic is the drum and bass project from Ben Penfold, the producer behind psytrance act Nuronix and the driving force behind Vision Entertainment, a key player in Ngunnawal's (Canberra AU) electronic music scene. With over a decade of experience, Ben has released on labels such as UP Records Australia and Highly Evolved Music, with standout tracks including Operator Error, Medicinal Trip, and Our Purpose showcasing his meticulous production and immersive sound design.

As a performer, Ben has taken the stage at a diverse array of events, from intimate forest gatherings to large-scale festivals. He has delivered energetic sets at Zenith Gathering, Dragon Dreaming Festival, Steps of Freedom, and Illogical 4.5. Described as a "space opera apocalypse", this is my live set from Dragon Dreaming Festival 2025. A fitting remark, I think, for an hour of delving in to the deep, dark, weird and euphoric sides of neurofunk drum and bass.
