"DKK has been creating some hefty (low end) waves throughout QLD & NSW over the past few years. Initially embarking on his journey through music and sound as a drummer at heart, playing in various rock and metal bands.. this, accompanied a keen ear for 90’s style hip hop/Boombap. More recent years have seen DKK delving into the deep organic lower frequencies of the Didgeridoo. Naturally, when he got behind the 1's & 2's, DKK gravitated towards the realms of Drum & Bass and 140 flavours. This journey amalgamating DKK’s intricate understanding of rhythm and percussion along with his refined resonance and relationship with the lower frequencies. Heavily influenced by his obsession for the realms lesser known and his strong connection to rhythm, DKK conducts a uniquely diverse and colourful yet deep, (and sometimes a little nasty) atmosphere on any dance floor. These frequencies have been felt throughout QLD, NSW and across the pond in Christchurch, New Zealand. Playing at some of Australia’s finest festivals such as, Elements, Tropical Bloom, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Amalgarhythmz, plus many more that will have to remain unnamed..
Recently, DKK has got on board with @DataTransmissionRadio. Streaming a monthly 2hr show on the last Saturday of every month. Showcasing his selections, some pre-releases, some freshly released material and even some DUBS, of some of the finest Drum & Bass and 140 on offer. In a landscape where concrete giants crumble faster than the sirens can fade, Nervorum transmits a digital distress signal called Shelter. Spanning eight movements, it unspools like a found footage diary of survival: the first thunderclap of drums yanks the listener awake beneath a blanket of dust, and the last sub-bass heartbeat drags a battered body across the threshold of an underground refuge.

Each piece is a freeze-frame in a single, urgent escape. Jagged breakbeats flicker like emergency strobes, fractured synths crackle with the static hum of radioactive fallout, and a coiling bass line exerts a gravitational pull toward safety. What begins as blind panic becomes deliberate momentum, as a weary pulse syncs with the mechanized rhythm of the ruins and transforms into an engine of resistance.

Shelter stands as a sonic chronicle of human tenacity—encoded, preserved, and released by Paperfunk Recordings at a moment when the concept of sanctuary feels more myth than memory. Within its eight digital chapters beats one unbroken message: even after the black rain, music remains a map, marking the single route out of the dark.
