Askel & Elere - Laser Pistol

Finnish producers Juho Kavasto and Sainey Gibba, more commonly known as Askel & Elere, are back with a bang. Their first single of the year ‘Get Up / Nothing More (feat. YENIAS)’ in February threw shoes, turned heads and warmed hearts, receiving support from UKF. Since that release, the pair have been working diligently together on their debut album. This techy, futuristic piece of sci-fi liquid is titled ‘Simulations’ and is set for release on the 29th of October. 

The final single ‘Eclipse’ is a wonderfully weird and experimental journey into the world of acid techno, familiarly framed in a 160bpm context. This break from the d&b norm really highlights the versatility and intelligence these two young producers possess, and tees up the album in perfect fashion. These pulsing, progressive sounds land in all good stores on the 22nd of October 2021.

With releases on labels such as Good Looking Records, Warm Communications and Fokuz Recordings, it’s fairly clear that Dubai based producer Altitude has an aptitude for deep Drum & Bass. For IRR-008, Altitude solidifies this statement even further with three pieces of exciting, forward thinking music that we at In-Reach can’t wait to share.

PREMIERE: Altitude - Twilight (In-Reach Records)

Combine Footwork, Grime and Progressive Electronic and then circle these elements back to Drum & Bass, that’s how you land on to the intricate and unconventional world of Lakeway’s music. There’s something inspirational about Lakeway’s refusal to accept the notion of style boundaries. Over the years, he has been one of the champions of innovating Bass music in the UK - with releases on some of the biggest labels in the game.

As Lakeway enters Version 2.0 of his musical career, we are honoured to help bring his newest release, the “No Escape” EP, to the world.

A combination of three heavyweight club tracks based around the 170bpm axis and a slower introspective grime collaboration with PAV4N, the EP follows no musical directive and is remarkably unique.

‘Lighter,’ ‘Unrequited Dub,’ and ‘All Massive All Crew” are all peak-time medicine - unapologetic big-room bangers with an experimental edge. On ‘No Escape,’ Lakeway teams up with Foreign Beggar’s front man PAV4N, to record an altogether different piece of work. Artfully combining elements of both ethereal melancholy and invasive industrial grime, together they explore one of the many sonic hairline fractures that exist between traditional musical tropes.
