The fast-rising young Folk Metal stars of Krampus have always known how to impress: Garnering wide attention with their first demos only a few years ago, they have subsequently released their full-length debut in August 2012 to critical acclaim and followed up with a European tour joining Finland’s genre leaders Wintersun and Korpiklaani on Heidenfest. Upon completion of their tour, the band has returned to writing mode a mere 6 months after their last release, and is now emerging stronger than ever, with an evolved line-up and a brand new sound that shows multiple genres how it’s done. They have searched for and found their sound, perfecting modern influences and keeping their unique folk instrumentation alive at the same time – one of only a handful of bands succeeding in what many have tried in recent years. Not only are they out to upend a whole genre, but they’re taking on old conventions: Rather than jumping through hoops to get the necessary financing for a full album production, they have picked the best of a year’s worth of writing and went on to work with acclaimed producer Tommy Vetterli (Eluveitie, Coroner) at his high-end New Sound Studio in Switzerland – completely independent from any record label. Here is the first result: The brand new track "Paralysis", available for free, to everyone. 

Frontman Filippo Gianotti comments: “After we couldn’t find a deal that was right for us and allowed us to realize our vision, we decided to take matters into our own hands and book a week with Tommy Vetterli to record what we think is the best material we have so far – not just from this writing period, but our whole career. We’ve finally found our sound and we’re ready and eager to show it to the the world! We are also aware of the changes in the music industry, and are determined to make the best of it all. We feel strongly that part of this is openness and sharing with our fans. We want them to get a deep insight into our creative process and to hear the music we’ve been writing for them. So that’s why we will not sell the songs we’ve recorded in July – instead we will release them for free to everyone as a digital download, on September 4th, 2013!”

This album is ‘The Glory Of Love’ which is my 56th Album and consists of specially selected love ballads that takes you on a nostalgic journey through the years… from 1936 to 2025. 

‘The Glory Of Love’ is a song written by Billy Hill and recorded in 1936 by Benny Goodman. It was the signature theme of the 1967 film ‘Guess Who's Coming to Dinner’.

‘On A Slow Boat to China’ is a popular song by Frank Loesser, published in 1948. The biggest hit version was recorded by Emile Ford and the Checkmates in 1960.

‘This Magic Moment’ is a song composed by lyricist Doc Pomus and pianist Mort Shuman. It was first recorded by The Drifters, with Ben E. King singing lead.and released on 28 Jan 1960.

‘Smile A Little Smile for Me’ is the debut single by the Flying Machine. The song was written by Geoff Stephens and Tony Macaulay and released on April 11, 1969.

‘Teenage Queenie’ is a song by Dutch Band Pussycat. It was released in 1981 from their Album ‘Take A Look At Me’.

‘It Only Hurts When I Cry’ is a song co-written by American country music artists Dwight Yoakam and Roger Miller and was released in December 1991.

‘I Can’t Laugh When You’re Sad’ (Ich kann nicht lachen, wenn du traurig bist) is a song by German artist Linda Feller released on 10 Aug 2022 on the Album of the same name.

‘Sha La La’ is a song written by Robert Mosely and Robert Taylor. A cover by the British pop group Manfred Mann would follow that October, being the most notable version of the song.

‘Wrapped Up In Your Love’ is a song by the band Inner Circle and was released in 1993 from their Album ‘Bad To The Bone’.

‘Around The World’ is a song by artist Trini Lopez and was released in 1958 from his Album ‘The Lonesome Road’.

‘Quello che mai più scorderai’ is a song by Italian artist ‘Little Tony’ and was released in Feb 2014 from his Album ‘I Grandi Successi di Little Tony’.

‘Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying’ is a song written by Gerry Marsden, Freddie Marsden, Les Chadwick and Les Maguire, the members of British beat group Gerry and the Pacemakers. 

‘A Man Without Love’ is an adaptation of the Italian song "Quandro m'innamoro"  It was eventually adapted into English and became a hit single for British singer Englebert  Humperdinck.

‘Coming Home’ (Polizzi; Natili; Ramoino; Pasalaque) From Magic Night, 1991. It was released by Engelbert Humperdinck from his Album ‘Träumen mit Engelbert 2’in 1991.

‘Why’ is a song first performed by artist Frankie Avalon and was written by Bob Marcucci and Peter De Angelis. It was made popular by Anthony Newly who released as a single in Jan 1960.

‘Winter World of Love’ is a song recorded by Engelbert Humperdinck and was released on his eponymous album and as a single in 1969.

‘Two Different Worlds’ is a popular song with music by Al Frisch and the lyrics by Sid Wayne, published in 1956. The British pop singer Engelbert Humperdinck also covered the song on his 1967 album ‘The Last Waltz’.

I Don't Care" is a song by the British singer Helen Shapiro and was released as a single in the early 1960s. The song is also included on some of her compilation albums.

‘Schöner fremder Mann’ is the fourth German single recorded by American artist Connie Francis. It was released on Mar 15, 1961.

‘Love Can Fly’ is a song recorded by Engelbert Humperdinck and was released on his 1969 album, also titled ‘Engelbert’.

‘See You Again’ is the debut single by American singer Miley Cyrus. It was released as the first single from Meet Miley Cyrus (2007).

‘Sweet Sweet Sina’ is a song by German artist Wolfgang Hanke. It was released in 2024 from their Album of the same name.

‘End of the World’ is a song by American singer Miley Cyrus. It was released on April 3, 2025, as the lead single from her ninth studio album, ‘Something Beautiful’ (2025). 

‘Whitney Houston Medley’ consists of three songs by American artist Whitney Houston: 
Greatest Love Of All, I Will Always Love You and Saving All My Love For You.
