Imagine a scrappy handful of the worst demo tapes of history, that had been found by an amusical wannabe poet and covered so poorly they became worse by a power of ten. Welcome to Lumber Harvest. Trying my best to stay just clear of full-retard.

Ryz Jasper blends soulful rhythms and intricate, funky flows with deeply conscious explorations of identity, truth and empowerment. A passionate rapper and MC since 2001, he has long been mingling amongst some of Australia’s most prestigious hip-hop artists, but only recently started to take his own practice more seriously. Ryz brings a high energy presence to the stage in which he engages strongly with the audience and invokes crowd response, blending traditional boom bap style hip-hop with soul, trap and afrobeat-inspired flows. 

Rap is a means for him to express his personal struggles, growth and spirituality as a human, as well as tell important stories.
