This solo by Jeff Andrews over a standard blues in F might well be on of the most creative electric bass solo's performed over a simple F jazzblues. It goes way beyond virtuosity, his melodic and especially rythmic frasing is incredible, one continous stream of interesting concepts and ideas. He probably could go on for another 20 minutes without getting boring! Everything you could possible wish is there: Strong melodic playing, amazing rythmic frasing (check out his 5 over 4 patterns especially), rythmic displacement, altered pentatonics, Patterns in fourth intervals, octotonics, its all there. If you are up for a real challenge, check out this 7 page transcription! You won't regret it :)
