Originally debuted on Dixon’s formidable Essential Mix in September, Downtown Party Network ft Egle Sirvydyte dropped ‘Space Me Out’ on Silence Music along with remixes from Musk, Mario Basanov and Hannes Fischer back in 2013. After much critical acclaim and being well-played by many top-djs, the track is now remixed by Downtown Party Network into this sparkling 2014 version. Since it will not be officially released by any label, you can exclusively download this re-take on one of the hottest tracks last year at Deep House Amsterdam. Enjoy!

Although revered within the underground scene, STL has always kept a low profile and consistently pursued his own blend of boundary pushing abstract and experimental House & Techno. The majority of his music has been released through his own ‘Something’ imprint but his unique productions have also found a home on Perlon, Smallville and Detroit’s Echospace. The product of a songwriting duo in the rich tradition of Tiga/Hulkkonen and Tiga/McCartney, “Stay Cool" marks a return of sorts to the classic Tiga sound, which is now the modern Tiga & Clarian sound. The kinda-underground acid techno grooves and magnanimously biting lyrics paint a picture so contemporary it threatens to make you live in the moment for the rest of your life.

What began organically with Clarian contributing material and production to Tiga’s 2016 No Fantasy Required LP has evolved into a contractually-mandated partnership. Having already worked with the likes of Jamie Principle, Felix Da Housecat and Guy Gerber, the Montreal-born musician is no stranger to “the hot collab," but was still taken aback by the rigorously enforced freedom he enjoyed during the "Stay Cool” sessions. “Tiga will be the first to tell you he has no ego in the studio, and in my experience that is the absolute truth,” says Clarian. “Every idea I have, every part I write, we split the credit right down the middle.”

“Stay Cool” is a real-time disintegration of the boundaries between Tiga’s public passion for music and his private obsession with digital entertainment currencies like Quarthonium Bronze and LavaBucks. “It occurred to me that what I could not stop myself from doing - typing 'HOLD YOUR POSITION' over and over in my crypto group chat - also served as an apt illustration of my heroic lifelong wrestling match with the idea of cool. And this epiphany has opened up my experience into a 360-degree panorama of creative possibility,” enthuses Tiga. “Soon, I'll be haggling over blueberries at the farmer’s market and Clarian will instantly turn in into the sound of the summer, whether you like it or you love it."

"You’re So Special” emerged from the songwriting team sitting around the drum machine in shirtsleeves with a pot of piping-hot coffee, waiting for piping-hot inspiration to strike. The lyrics ably grapple with the now, openly wondering about the direction of bleeding-edge compassion. “You see it everywhere, from airport bookstores stocked with variations on The Art of Not Giving a Fuck to airline pilots taking time off to work on themselves mid-flight,” hectors Tiga, wagging his finger for needed emphasis. “I don’t pretend to have all the answers, but what I also don’t pretend to have is patience for those who pretend to do.”

With 2018 as a dazzling year for both Hollt and Sandeep, the two friends team up again to combine their love for the melodic and deep. ‘Above Distance’ is the second collaboration between the DJ/producers featuring two tracks that compliment each other, whilst individually aimed at different moments during the night.

The release kicks off with ‘Above', a euphoric track designed for prime-time moments. The track’s groovy, yet sturdy start is followed by a compelling melody, after which the actual theme becomes apparent when the slightly darker bass line brings a new energy to the fold. Mid-track the energy unleashes full force, surely bringing the listener in a euphoric state of mind.

‘Distance’ is a warm, and laid back track that builds on an open atmosphere, where strings and solid drums are laying the foundation. The different layers of melody and a dark, yet compelling bassline are building, leading up to a characteristic break that evolves to a atmospheric climax. It’s a track heavily influenced by the long and deep sets both Hollt and Sandeep play in clubs like Toffler and Basis. 

Hollt & Sandeep’s ‘Above Distance’ will be released on January 21st, 2019.

It took no less than 15 years of DJ’ing before Sandeep finally found his way to the studio, resulting in a remix for, and several collaborations with, die Stube Records founder Hollt. Sandeep’s long, deep, progressive and atmospheric sets have paved the way for his first ever solo EP, ‘The Deeper Dreamer’.

The EP kicks off with the story-telling ‘The Deeper Dreamer’, built on a solid foundation of drums, a slightly filtered kick and several dreamy synths and pads. With the delicate and dreamy original fitting for those longer sets in dark basement clubs, Hollt’s reinterpretation has a slightly coarse sound in comparison, yet making it a day-dreamy track for those hazy afternoons.

For Whom The Bells Toll is special collaboration between Sandeep and Australian based cellist Wilma. After having met online, the two artists worked together on this slightly melancholic, deep house an neo-classical music cross-over gem. Listening to the original during the night, the acoustic version will suit any Sunday morning.

What began as an event series in Basel, Wildfang Music soon shifted focus to releasing good music. "Be it dark and groovy tribal or melodically catchy deep house,” it has few restrictions other than quality. Today, the Swiss label gladly welcomes back one of its original contributors! Guzy delivered his first ever solo production as part of the imprint's debut “Selene” comp. Soon after, he became studio partners with the likes of Jonas Saalbach, Bigasti and Marc Grabber. He and the latter Slovenian now return to Wildfang with “Nubo.” Unlike April’s “Revas,” it also warrants a pair of high profile reinterpretations. Sandeep has long carried the title of “Rotterdam’s best kept secret,” because of his all-encompassing style. Through its subtle yet expressive composition, his "Tales of a Dreamer" remix embodies "deeper house in all its forms and shapes.”
