Getting Deeper Podcast #14 mixed by ZeitlupenUwe

Diggin' through an old external hard drive i found a stack of old mixes and live set from years ago, which i haven't listened to in a long time. Interesting that certain mixes paint a good picture of what different styles sounded like in those days. This 'It doesn't stop at the afterparty' mix is from 2006. A time when the deeper side of house was leaning towards a more minimalistic and raw sound with a little more BPM's. I was very much enjoying listening back and thought i'd should share it with you!

Dark Side of the Moon, a mix i made 6 years ago and one that is still one of my all time favourites. I have been wanting to make a part 2 for a long time and finally i did! A mix containing tracks which i have become to love over the past years. Some of these tracks i have played often during club gigs, some hardly ever., but a bit more to the darker side of techno. And for your convenience i have also included the tracklist.

In the last two to three years @Olivier-Weiter has grown from an obscure DJ into an established name in the Amsterdam scene. With his dream-woven sets characterised by Olivier's brand of accessible deep techno, he has hypnotising many a dancefloor in and outside the Netherlands. Because he is also a welcomed guest in Germany, where he has brought his sessions to clubs such as Wilde Renate, Kater Holzig, Watergate and Loft Club. 

On the production side things are coming along now as well, with his brand new upcoming EP on Einmusika: 'Takkie', due this November.

Who are Superlounge? In their own words, here is a short bio:

German duo Superlounge have been producing music together since teaming up in 2006, they have been exploring the sounds of raw minimalism, house structures and liquid smooth ambiance whilst tapping in to their sound of deep and driving House music. The Düsseldorf based partnership are currently building a repuatation as the pair to watch having released on some of Europes finest labels such as Noir, Supernature, Soulfooled and Systematic. Hailing from San Francisco, Mark Slee is known to wear many creative hats. But two of his all-time favorite fashions are that of DJ and producer. Since co-founding House-Heads in 2008, a collective combining forward-thinking music with a quirky underground vibe, he has gone on to join the Listed Bookings roster and host the monthly mix show Heron Sound on Proton Radio. He is also one half of Manju Masi, a collaboration with long-time partner in crime Atish.

Over the course of an obsession with dance music now more than 15 years strong, Slee has evolved a style of deep house that reflects a unique personality, balancing intricate grooves, dreamy textures, and playful whimsical bounce. Blending his technical side with intuition and introspection, he takes an approach that tickles both mind and soul.

Slee's sets have taken him far and wide, playing for audiences from Cape Town to Playa del Carmen, from Robot Heart to the Cityfox series in NYC. On the home front, his penchant for diverse and well-crafted warmup sets sees him regularly playing SF's top clubs, opening for DJs like Danny Tenaglia, Danny Howells, Lee Burridge, Guy Gerber, Mathew Dekay, Vincenzo, Andre Lodemann, and Hector.

Rounding things out are his original productions and remixes, released on Cityfox, Tenampa, 5 and Dime, and Looq.

LnG Podcast 002: DeepHouse for Lovers

I recently re-found this recording of an all night long set i played at the legendary Whoosah Beachclub somewhere during the summer of 2015. It was on a spontaneous thursday evening with all the right ingredients for a pop up beach party.  I used to listen to this set myself a lot back in the days, so i thought it would be a nice idea to share this with you during these non-clubbing times we live in.

A bit more deeper, darker and less deep-house mix this time. A mix which is perfect for your afters and sunny sunday mornings in my humble opinion. The vibe strongly reminds me of the "Dark Side of the Moon" mix i made a few years ago, but not as dark as that one was. Hence the title of this mix!
