Sorte Negle explores the essential role that the nails play for any guitarist. As a classical guitarist, your nails form an extended part of your instrument. Well-kept nails are a prerequisite for being able to play accurately, form timbre and dynamics and add personality. In Sorte Negle, the role of the nails is magnified applying exaggeratedly long artificial and painted nails to the instrumentalist using it to create effects such as bowed sounds, crackling sounds, noisy attacks and sliding figures.

HAF:köf(n)un was commissioned by the Aarhus-based quartet Njyd that features Anja Nedremo on the tenor sxophone, Jonas Weitling on the tam-tam, Marie Sønderskov on the flute and Mikkel Egelund Nielsen on the guitar. 

The piece describes the different layers of the ocean as we go downwards to the bottom.

Tigers Mind - Magma Holtz

Sandra and Jonas are two of the most prominent sound artists in Denmark. By combining her classical background with electronic elements, Sandra has among other things created a line of harrowing works for organs and for tape recorders. Jonas Olesen is behind the record company BIN, which primarily publishes historical electronic music. As an electronic musician, he has for years explored the musty sounds of extinct media and electronics, but also created some hard-boiled techno under the alias Hector Rottweiler.
