A metaphor about a short-term romance when the last argument leads into a "fatal" defeat. Both sides getting wounded. Inspired partly by the C64 game The Last Ninja soundtrack. Also David Bowie and Iggy Pop's China Girl acted as a primary source of influence.

Ninja's Eyes

Partly based on Alan Moore's The Killing Joke graphic novel. The end of friendship. B-side for Ninja's Eyes, which is also about a decaying relationship.

Film Noir Death Scenery

This is about my ex-girlfriend who decided... to leave. I masqueraded the story and the song in X-files thematics, so it was easier to make. This is one of my most personal songs and probably my favorite. It's also a tribute to David Bowie. Ashes to Ashes type of atmosphere. The song cuts off suddenly like a lifeline.

Maila Nurmen vilahtavat sääret is a tribute to Finnish actress Maila Nurmi who got to be known in Hollywood as Vampira. I was suppose to do a cover of Bauhaus, but instead I made a song. It still has that familiar Bauhaus vibe in the beginning. Finnish melancholy in guitars.

A mental passage to somewhere dark. A homage to Phil Collins' In the Air Tonight, if you will. It's loosely based on a graphic novel Kapteeni Kuolio by Pekka A. Manninen. It's about a powerful man with telekinesis abilities to see beyond the normal veil. But it's not certain if he's crazy or if everything really is as true as vanilla ice cream.

Very much driven from the early Danzig records from '88-94. Thematically about sorcerer looking deeply into dark knowledge and losing his innocence. The Hammer Horror classic Devil Rides Out ('68) was also a minor influence.

Inspired by the BBC TV show Ashes to Ashes when Alex Drake unexpectedly wakes up in early 1980s and ends up working with Chief Inspector Gene "Guv" Hunt and his detectives. A romantic take on someone that you really care for but it can never be. Certain lines can't be crossed even in dream worlds.
