Shaman's Dream, Poranguí, Eric Zang - Nefes (Drumspyder Remix)

This set was an absolute delight to perform, the second edition of seven, focusing on the Sacral Chakra & the water element - intending to evoke sensuality, creativity, sexuality, self-expression, bliss and flow. 

This is a super special journey that begins and ends with a beautiful poem centered around the journey of a raindrop from the skies to the ocean, created by the equally beautiful Emina Ashman. 

Was a privilege to work with the team at Centre Of You in Prahran, my first time at the venue and it felt like an embrace from an old friend.

This is my first ecstatic dance set which I have called Express Chill and brings to you some of my very favourite tunes since joining the community and training as an Ecstatic Dance DJ. People arrived in the outdoor area of the Jackon Wellsprings in full reverence and connected with the movement workshop instantly as i serenaded it with downtempo sacred beats. 

Gongfu Tea service provided tea throughout the night for those who liked to sit, relax and/or energize with some top quality pu'er.

Then we all integrated the dance by hoping into the healing fluidity of the hot mineral waters, steam room, sauna, and olympic pool of the Jackson Wellsprings. A highlight of the ecstatic dance, and an amazing way to integrate together in community after a long night of dancing.

Ayahuasca is sonic alchemy from Brazilian born artist Poranguí Carvalho McGrew. Blending field recordings from the Amazon rainforest with native instruments from around the world, the music builds a bridge to the consciousness of the master plant medicine. 

Each track can be traveled singularly or woven together to take you on a seamless journey to the deepest parts of your psyche. 
Whether you are listening for relaxation, stress relief, meditation, ceremony, or to help with focus while you work on a project, the music is like tropical rain for your ears. 

A portion of proceeds from this album will be donated to community projects supporting Amazon tribes near the Rio Momón who inspired this music, including the Yahua, Bora, Quichua Alamas & Huitoto Muruy.

Music as Medicine Ceremony

I found ecstatic dance back around July 2023, at a time approaching huge loss and transition in my life, when my marriage of 6 years was about to come to a painful and difficult end. 

My first experience of ecstatic dance blew my mind; who knew that just through dance alone you could access such a powerful state of bliss and catharsis!? From that point on I was hooked. 

Ecstatic dance has personally given me such a consistently powerful means to process life. When it all just gets too overwhelming, confusing and worrying in my head, I always come back to dance to get me back into my body. This always reminds me that everything is actually ok, all that's needed is to feel deeply connected to myself and to the present moment, something dance is so good at doing.

I've been dancing most every single week since then, and trained as an ecstatic dance DJ under Temple Step, a renowned international ecstatic dance DJ, in March 2025.

Now, it's slowly become a passion of mine to create these same amazing embodied dance journeys that I have been so lucky to find and enjoy to regularly.
