Antoine Dupuy (aka Ultrajove, aka Bitonio, aka Toinou, aka Jürgen) was born in Poitiers, a city of art and history, December 4.

After a full curriculum (NES, Sega Genesis, Super NES, Playstation ...) but somewhat stressful for parents, the young and dashing Antoine Dupuy easily wins a "Master of Engineering in Network Security Solutions for Businesses could afford the services of consultants "of the Faculty of Poitiers and enters the workforce.

But that's not the point.

It is the early discovery of the PC, offered as a protective talisman, a guarantee of success, by his parents relieved to see him spend so many hours working on this new instrument (it will quickly become brilliant in matters such as doom-like unfortunately not present in the curriculum).

All this for what? To create a music nourished by various influences: from big beat to house, techno dub, not to mention the 'trip-core clash' (which is often confused with the 'deep-tech analog', No sense!) And other currents more or less alternative.

And then we had to sort, collect, select from all these projects to finally achieve an album, the first, easiest, more difficult and then the second...

So ... try to immerse yourself in this music as varied as personal, the result of a long process of exploration, sometimes in troubled waters, which is striking for its freshness and dense (dance) simplicity.

Single club presenting emerging new acts from Scandinavia

"ANEEA has written the theme song "Champions in White" for the Norwegian female Football team. She previously worked with Ubisoft under the name ANJA. She is the first unknown artist in history to be featured on the popular 30 million blockbusters Just Dance Franchise (Wii, X-box and Play station) from UBISOFT, amongst other huge artists such as Katie Perry, Black Eyed peas and Jessie J. The Just Dance franchise sold in total over 25 million copies around the world and her singles “Dance all nite”, “Baby don’t stop now” and “Crazy little thing” are played and danced to from fans all around the globe. She made the headlines in the UK newspaper “The Sun” quoting ANJA as “THIS is the face of the singer millions of Brits have heard - but never seen”, her singles was handpicked to be featured on Ubisoft videogames alongside big stars like Rihanna and Robbie Williams.

The Scandinavian artist also debuted as a songwriter as well as a singer when the announcement was made public and her single “Brand new start” was released on the Just Dance 4 video game in the US, alongside a commercial deal with the billion dollar company Pepsi co and “Cheetos”. The pop singer was also featured on a Mentos commercial in France having school kids grooving to her electronic dance tunes. A music video covering her in blue glow in the dark paint for her first single “Dance all nite” was shoot it Toronto by the video director Alon Isocianu. He has co-directed commercial spots for Much Music and Coca Cola and the music video were broadcasted on MTV France all summer of 2012. In addition ANJA also has her music featured on a mini game for the Raving Rabbits, a Ubisoft videogame that sold over 50 million copies.

“Follow your dreams”. Tattooed in black ink on her forearm, this familiar motto is not only a source of inspiration for the Norwegian-born songstress but a way of life. She was raised in Kvaefjord under the spectacular Northern lights where Norway meets the Arctic Circle. With her Scandinavian look and blueprint she has been spoken about as the new Scandinavian princess of pop drawing comparisons with the likes of Robyn’s electro/dance pop music. She gleaned the secrets of the performing arts at the exclusive Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) Paul Mc Cartney School. She performed at the London Fashion Week as well as at the prestigious MTV European Music Awards in Liverpool. Her career path has lead her from Norway to UK to Los Angeles and to Canada where she recently shot her music video for “Crazy little thing”. 

ANJA has collaborated with producers from all over the globe including Alex Papa and Adam Baptiste (Redone), James Bryan, (Kensal town studios, Jason Mraz, James Morrison, A-HA), Ben Adams from the boy band A1, Father MC (Mary J. Blidge), Deepfrost, Ketil Schei, Simen Fjeld (Sony) and the Canadian Rick LP , Gautier Marinof from Studio Piccalo (Celine Dion, Arcade Fire, Simple Plan, Cirque du Soleil).

Quite appropriately ‘The Science of the Lamps’ was discovered by Kaya in an off the beaten track restaurant in the fairytale darkness of the city of Prague in December 2010, she just didn’t know what it was yet. Since then, the experiment has gradually been hypothesized and carried out in uncontrolled environments in collaboration with Liverpool & international talent such as, Grethe Borsum, Luke Moore, Mark Brockelsby, Grammy Award winner Greta Svabo Bech and many others. 

Their inspiration comes from vaudeville, visual art, early Hollywood movie scores, Nordicana, wine, flamenco, trip-hop, music boxes, Paris and whiskey bars.

In late 2012 at St George’s Hall, Science of The Lamps performed for world famous actor Stephen Graham as part of his “Coming Home” ‘In Conversation’ event by Little Atom. Their rendition of Stephen’s favourite song (Pink Floyd’s ‘Wish You Were Here) was spontaneously described as “Beautiful” by the star. 

Since their first live appearance at Liverpool Light Night in May 2011 they have gone on to appear at festivals such as; Standon Calling, Liverpool Sound City, Jessheimdagene (Norway), Above the Beaten Track and Threshold Festival, a couple of trips to London, played alongside Shona Foster and three support slots with Louis Barabbas & The Bedlam Six and pretty much all of the more theatrical and quirky acts in town. They are very happy to be on the same bill as their friends in All We Are at Sound City Liverpool 2013 in the peculiarly fabulous Kazimier Gardens

Kaya has become a well-know name on the local scene and was chosen as BBC Merseyside ‘Artist of the Month’ and as ‘Spotlight Artist’ for Liverpool Acoustic. Her debut album 'Balloon in a Cactus Field' was also released on Ultimate Fake Records and is “a collection of beautifully crafted songs with a surprising bite”.

Kaya’s previous experience includes singing backing for Ringo Starr at Liverpool08 opening and for Seal and Jon Bon Jovi at the Royal Variety Show and a long track record of gigs solo or with band including playing alongside Brett Anderson (Suede), The Wombats, Cherry Ghost, Noah & the Whale, Marina & The Diamonds, Foy Vance, The Farm, Sandi Thom and pretty much the whole Liverpool scene, the new project started is a home for all the caged songs that didn’t fit Kaya’s band’s alt. rock line up; Lyrical gems with darkness and light, sultry sounds and unfinished rough gems flowing out of notebooks and on the back of beer coasters.
