Now my studio rebuild is finally complete, this is a first quick track/mix as part of getting everything configured and working.

This actually has REAL BASS on it. Gosh, shocker.

Just a quick demo made with Push 3. Everything was played into the Push3, rough arrangement done there, then loaded into Live 11 on my Mac Mini. This is just a quick demo with minimal mixing and mastering (UAD SSL channel strips, UAD pultec, brainworx masterdesk)

Per the title, this track was insipired partly by Brian Eno's Music for Airports and by Steve Reich's Piano Phase. That said, it doesn't really resemble either of those sources. And then the drums come in and everything goes batshit.

Airport Phase

I'm repairing and testing an old Lexicon LXP-5. It the washiest, analog-est effects box I know, even if it's not actually analog.

This track is just an ad-libbed piece played on an Ensoniq SQ-80 (Curtis-based VCFs), with aftertouch modulating the filter cutoff. The whole thing is recorded live thru the LXP-5 and direct into Audacity via a cheapo Behringer mixer. Voila!

I've just repaired a Sequential Circuits Six-Trak the same time as I finally got my DAW setup done. I was absolutely taken with the simplicity of this tone, once I'd the factory patches loaded, so threw this together. Patch 31 with a small amount of reverb only.
