Sara Miller returns to Permanent Vacation with Oceanic Dream, a three-track EP shaped by her signature blend of emotion and dancefloor euphoria. Oceanic Dream channels a duality - introspective yet euphoric, grounded yet transcendent. 

Opener Odyssey carries the spirit of 90s progressive house into a dreamlike state with gliding synths, a shuffling groove and euphoric vocal samples tracing a hypnotic arc between movement and reflection. 

Don’t Stop takes the energy higher, with bubbling acid lines and soaring synths pushing the track toward its zenith, a moment made for the peak of the night. 

Closing cut World In You shifts into a groovier register, where chunky bass, swinging percussion and deep chords meet sparkling melodies; a nod to classic deep house, mellow yet uplifting, its vocal sample proudly declaring “house music” as both homage and affirmation. 

With Oceanic Dream, Sara Miller offers her most distilled vision yet: music suspended between dream and drive, equally resonant in reflection and on the dancefloor.

Permanent Vacation is very happy to bring you the debut EP of our long-time friend Sara Miller, hailing from Berlin via Ireland. For years Sara has been involved in club culture and its different aspects: from organising her own “Naive Melodies” parties and DJing in the city's best venues to working as a sound engineer and finally producing her own music. Following Sara's acclaimed debut track “Orange Sea”, which was part of the Permanent Vacation 7 compilation, it's now time for her first full EP titled “Lunar Theory”. On the EP's four tracks, Sara has drawn inspiration from her broad musical knowledge and years of DJing experience and party wizardry. You can detect influences from classic 90's house, breakbeat, Italo and Acid in her tracks, all combined into a fresh and sparkling result. But music is not the only source of inspiration for this notorious night owl; nighttime and its celestial companion, the moon, are equally important to Sara’s work. So “Lunar Theory” is a sonic journey that attempts to reflect the movements of the moon. Four phases of moonlight manoeuvres written after dark.

Irish-born, Berlin-based DJ, producer, and sound engineer Sara Miller builds worlds out of emotion and rhythm, forging a reputation for weaving emotional resonance with dance floor euphoria.

Drawing from the timeless pulse of ’90s progressive and deep house, she brings warmth and texture to her sets. Astral melodies, rubbery basslines and soaring breaks form her palette, shaping fluid journeys that blur the line between reflection and abandon.

Based in Berlin, Sara Miller has become a trusted presence on Europe’s most iconic floors, from Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson, and Tresor to Phonox, Badaboum, Macadam and Nitsa. Her natural ease behind the decks mirrors her skill in the studio, where she translates club energy into finely detailed, melodic productions.

Her ongoing relationship with Permanent Vacation began with Orange Sea (2021) and has since grown with her acclaimed Lunar Theory EP (2023), her vinyl debut Cervo on Cracki Records (2024), and remixes for Permanent Vacation and Live at Robert Johnson. Her latest EP on Permanent Vacation, Oceanic Dream (2025), distills her sound into three cinematic house tracks that move between dreamlike introspection and open-hearted euphoria.

DJ Mag’s review of Oceanic Dream described Miller as “one of the rare alchemists who can push a tune to its emotional breaking point while also keeping it on the right side of cheesy,” praising its “swung drum programming and throwback progressive bassline” that give it “serious bite.” For her first EP, Resident Advisor described Lunar Theory as “filled with melodies as complex as honeycomb,” noting its low-end heft and idiosyncratic touch - “a reminder that just because you're going big doesn’t mean you can’t stay weird.”

In 2024, she was selected for the Detroit–Berlin Residency, spending two transformative months at Submerge, headquarters of Underground Resistance. Collaborating with Detroit artist Shawescape Renegade on a hardware live show, she was immersed in the city’s culture of resilience, innovation and community, an experience that continues to shape her creative outlook and reaffirm her belief in music as a shared, sustaining force.

In both her DJ sets and productions, Sara Miller explores the emotional architecture of house music with melodies that move like memories, and rhythms that take hold - a sound equally attuned to reflection and release.
