My name is Juan Francisco Bueno Olóriz, I am a musician, composer, lyricist and I play the guitar and piano. Since I was a child I have liked to compose the lyrics and music of my songs, first as a self-taught person and little by little as a professional, after a lot of effort and study.

My degree from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Zaragoza (Spain) is as a higher professor of Musical Pedagogy. I have studied harmony, counterpoint, fugue, composition, musical arrangements and I have also been a professor of Aesthetics, History of Music, Culture and Art at the conservatories of Tudela and Tarazona (Spain)

My songs have been sung by artists such as Luana Ruff, Sebastian, Jesús Lainez, Manuel Palomino, Joelblesseddd, Paco Cuenca, Mara Oldfield, Dazz Deva, Ana López Lorente or Carmen París and I work with great professionals such as the pianist José María Berdejo, the saxophonist Maiker Rivero, the guitarist Nacho Abril, the cellist Pablo Baleta and the sound engineer Juan Miguel Sánchez in the recording studio SIN/CON/PASIONES.

There was a time when boldness was the main characteristic of youth. Young people wanted to be different, and one of the most prominent ways to be different in my day was to listen to different styles of music. It was very striking among Generation Xers, even those who belonged to more radical urban tribes. I remember well, for example, the late Jeff Hanneman, the brilliant guitarist from Slayer, saying in an interview that he loved classical music. This kind of boldness is deeply rooted in most of the guys who lived through that era. And it's a very noticeable characteristic in most artists who came from those years. The late David Bowie, for instance, embraced electronic rhythms like jungle and drum ‘n’ bass on his incredible album Earthling. Iggy Pop said in a video that he loved the then-new branch of electronic music, a genre called industrial. And the world-famous cellist Yo-Yo Ma played a version of Metallica's “Nothing Else Matters”. The examples are numerous.

Unfortunately, I have witnessed the death of this kind of boldness in the younger generations. Young people enslave themselves to a few musical styles and refuse to listen to the universe of music that exists out there.

Overdrive is a musical project that seeks to explore different musical genres — rap, classical music, techno, punk, death metal, rock ‘n’ roll, new wave, new age, a cappella, you name it. The idea is to introduce listeners to the concepts of musical freedom, musical anarchy, musical curiosity, and bold listening (to new and old styles).

It's a one-man project with the help of countless talented collaborators. So don't be surprised to see tracks of completely different styles with equally diverse collaborators — people like a brilliant English glam singer in shiny pants singing about punks on a post-punk song; or a skilled German guitarist who plays rock riffs on a drum'n bass background; a Russian female singer with an incredibly powerful voice singing a 70s rock song; a young British rapper genius who loves electro; a Danish female singer and harpist who enjoys singing pop music on a Bach background; a French reggae singer who sings disco brilliantly; and many others.

Musical eclecticism is an expression of freedom. I love Sepultura and I love Frank Sinatra. And there isn't a single day that goes by when I don't listen to music by J. S. Bach and the German thrash metal band Destruction. I truly believe that different styles talk to each other when I make music and would love to pass on some of that thinking to my fellow young musicians.

Close Enemy is the name of the project created by musicians Deco Santos (vocals) and Junior "Barba" (guitar), in September 2019. Later, other members joined the band. They are: Rafa Tolotti (bass) and Pedro Lenin (drums).
     The choice of band name was not random. "Close Enemy" represents something in common among the band members: the fight against drug addiction. The lyrics, accompanied by groove metal rifffs and melodies, with clear references from bands such as Nirvana, Korn, Coal Chamber, Slipknot, Deftones, Static-X and Love and Death, tell the drama of those who suffered the consequences of drug abuse and fought daily battles to remain sober.
     It is worth checking and reflecting on the message conveyed by the band.
If you have never taken drugs and are curious, CE is for you. And if you surrendered to your drug addiction and don't believe you can change that, CE is for you too!

     Close Enemy é o nome do projeto criado pelos músicos Deco Santos (vocais) e Junior "Barba" (guitarra), em setembro de 2019. Mais tarde, outros membros se juntaram à dupla. São eles: Rafa Tolotti (baixo) e Pedro Lenin (bateria).
     A escolha do nome da banda não foi aleatória. Close Enemy (inimigo próximo) representa algo em comum entre os membros da banda: a luta contra o vício em drogas. As letras, acompanhadas de riffs e melodias de groove metal, com referências claras de bandas como Nirvana, Korn, Slipknot e Love and Death, contam o drama daqueles que sofreram as conseqüências do abuso de drogas e travaram batalhas diárias para permanecerem sóbrios.
     Vale a pena conferir e refletir sobre a mensagem transmitida pela banda.
